Laguna PowerFlo Biological Add-on Chamber allows you to add additional biological filtering capacity to Lagunas PowerFlo and PowerFlo Max Underwater Filters. The add-on chamber expands filtering capacity by approximately 250 US gallons (945 L). It can be filled with any type of biological filter media including Biospheres, lava rock (pumice), BioMax or Phos X. The chamber snaps on easily.

Comments: These add on chambers are effective and convenient. This is by far the cheapest I have found them as well. People claim that mechanical filters are a waste of time and money but in the long run help to extend the life of preassure filters w/ uv clarifiers on the other end of your pump and filter system. These are the easiest mechanical filters to clean and maintain and remove solids before getting the chance to clog your solids handling pump. I made a 6-chamber pre-filter for my fountain pump and it works great at keeping the fountain head clear.
