Aquarium powerhead with 360° rotating water deflector and aerobic filter.

The Hydor BIOHYDEA couples the Hydor BioFlo with the Hydor Hydea Powerhead. The BIOFLO aerobic filtration works to reduce ammonia and nitrite naturally without the use of chemicals being added to the aquarium. The deflector rotates 360 degrees driven by the Hydea powerhead. The rotating water flow creates a natural and pleasant wave effect which is beneficial to live plants and reef inhabitants and leads to increased oxygenation. The sponge also works to capture unpleasant surface film. The BioHydea works best when the BioFlo is submerged at a 2/3 level. The BioHydea is ideal used standing alone, or in combination with any undergravel filter using the provided adaptor system. Safe and reliable. UL Listed. For freshwater or marine aquariums.

Med BioHydea is capable of removing 2.6 (+-.2) mg/hr of ammonia (for aquariums 20-40 gal).
Max Flowrate: 160 gph
Moves the water in a gentle and even way creating a beneficial wave effect for plants and/or invertebrates.
The aerobic filter clears the water surface and knocks down ammonia and nitrates.
BioHyde easy to connect to under-gravel filters thanks to the adjustable universal adapter.

Comments: I got it in the mail and put it in my tank. There is an option for a oxygen tube i don't suggest you use it if you have a reef tank but in fish only system it would be fine. The rotating head makes great currents!
