Comments: A high quality asthetically pleasing powerful pump in a compact package. Internat foam filter to keep gunk out of blades. Easy to clean and maintain, super quiet!!!!!! Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I am using this pump for a computer water cooling rig. It is not as quiet as an Eheim, but is a fraction of the cost. I have been using an L25 in another computer for 2+ years now. No problems. These seem to be very reliable, strong and relatively quiet. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I have the L30 version of this pump and it has been very reliable as my return pump. I am now using the L20 for my chiller. The first pump I used (external), had air leaks and created many tiny bubbles (not a Hydor). I replaced it with this pump and NO air bubbles. Very easy to install and a very tight seal. I recommend the Hydor pump to others. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Unsatisfactory

Comments: I bought this to use in a DIY CA Reactor. When you convert the pump for external use it leaks. The seal and retainer ring are cheap plastic with not enough force to prevent leaks. Stay away from this pump if you want it for external use. I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I bought this to use in my 250 gallon aquarium to pumpt the water back up into the tank from the sump. It works and is very quiet. It did leak from the front area but I was able to use some plumbing compound to stop that. I think the next size up would have worked better for a tank this size. Overall, if I do order alarger size it will be this type as it is the most quiet pump I have ever used. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I am using this pump to circulate water througe a solar swimming pool heater for heat storage in my shop. The heat is storred in 5 55 galon barrels. The pump works fine however it is not as physically robust ss I had wished. I drilled the centers of the suction cups and screwed the motor down. The securing collar for the external inlet fitting is a little light weight for my application. I am probably pushing the limits for the pumps intended use, however with care it is performing as hoped. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I have had this pump a couple weeks now, it's a VERY Quite pump! Need to look and make sure it's running! Powerful and well built too! Does run a little warm, but for its power output that's normal. Still good flow even after supplying 15w UV sterilizer (Aqua Step) Would recommend over most other pumps. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: This pump was recommended for a JBJ Arctic DBA 200 chiller-150 gallon tank. It is currently in an external setting. It was revommended for a 3 to 4 foot vertical height application. The real set up is using 3 feet of intake tubing (5/8" ID) and close to 10' of return line (5/8" ID)..!!! This pump is more than enough. I have combined the return with a Filstar Rena plumbing parts return line (plastic u-tube) and bar (long tube with holes in it) and it is a perfect match. This pump is silent in operation. I had to touch it to make sure it was running. The suction cups allow it to sit on a surface and remain there without any vibration noise. It only comes with the 5/8" line connects and they are pretty short threaded, so you have to push the tube as far down on the connection as possible to get a good tight seal. This is a great pump for a high GPH need.... Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I purchased the L20 to move water thru my JBJ chiller (mini) it is a good 4 foot head of water column and the L20 runs flawlessly. It is super quiet. I have used many powerheads and pumps in a variety of situations and the Seltz L20 is hands down tops!!! It offers great flow adjustment, easy connections and versitile application. It looks neat and feels well built. I liked it so much I bought an L40 for a larger chiller. Once again, Marine Depot comes thru with great products, great service and great prices...Thanks!! Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Pros - Quiet and compact. Plenty powerfull for what I'm using it for. (Mid size aquarium pump for UV light). Cons - To use the pump outside the tank, as I am, you lose the adjustable flow rate option. Had I known that I probably would have bought a flow control valve right away or a different pump. The instructions aren't the best but there are diagrams that help you figure out what to do. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Purchased to replace a Mag-3 that was original equipment on my AquaC Urchin Pro. The Hydor SELTZ L35 advertises more flow than the Mag-3 (450 gph for the L35 versus 350 gph for the Mag-3) while using less power. However it clearly is producing less flow in my setup. There is barely enough flow to produce anything in my skimmer and I am considering buying a new Mag-3. I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: well i have been using this return pump for about a month or so now on my 55 gal with 20 gal sump saltwater setup. the only complaint is why do the threads have to be metric... it is impossible to find anything that will mate with it (female pvc adapter) at any of the local typical hardware stores. the pump has a slight hum to it.. more than i would like, but it met my specifications. would i purchase again.. maybe, depending on if i couldn't find a better pump that uses the same electricity with the same flow... Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Pros- Inexpensive and compact. Easy to take apart and maintain. Adjustable water flow. Doesn't add heat into the water. Attractive for a water pump. Cons- First one I ordered was defective. It was noisy and stopped working after less then 2 weeks. Neither would keep the level correctly in my Oceanic Biocube 29. Becomes noisy after being shut off. It's not a bad pump, it just seems somewhat inconsistent. I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: It's a bit soon to truly evaluate, but initial trials are fine. The head pressure seems lower than I anticipated, but that may have more to my setup rather than the pump. Biggest plus -- it is very quiet! Very little vibration, and a very small footprint. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
