Hydor USA

The SLIM HEATER supplies Continuous Safe Gentle Heat that increases the temperature in small aquariums or bowls, approximately 5 to 10 degrees above ambient room temperature. There are no glass components to crack or break and double sealing the heating element makes these units the safest heaters on the market. Just plug them in and that`s it!

Maintaining the proper temperature in the small aquarium or fish bowl will insure a lively, healthier fish. The Hydor Slim Heaters are fully submersible and UL approved.

THE NEW 7.5W SLIM HEATER replaces the older version Mini Heater. A more useful shape and size but with the same built-in reliability. Perfect for terrariums and small tanks up to five gallons.

No Temp Control

I purchased this heater to help maintain the temps in a small fresh water tank I have. The heater is small and relatively flat - shaped a bit like a large leaf. While it does heat - I would not recommend it. You can not set the target temp. It doesn't seem to stop heating the tank, so this afternoon when my house warmed up to 73 my tank hit 85! That's too warm for the fish in the tank. I need a heater that I can set at, say 80 and know it will shut off when the water hits 80. This one has no sensor and constantly produces the same amount of warming regardless of the water temp.
