Comments: Low power consumption and noise, and high performance. Dependable, moisture resistant. Should only have in addition a manual control and provide a (must be something cheap) plastic universal support. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I'm using this as an exhaust fan in a small cabin. It runs directly off my 12 volt solar system without needing the supplied 120V to 12V transformer. It works great & is virtually silent at low speed. The only feature lacking is a manual override switch to force the fan to run at full speed regardless of the ambient air temperature. Otherwise I'm very satisfied with the quality of construction and its ability to move a large volume of air (approx 100 cfm) at full speed. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I have had my Ice Cap fan installed for just a few days, but I am very happy with it so far. It works just as advertised; it runs almost silently at lower temperatures, and ramps up as a real powerhouse when the heat rises. My chiller is seeing much less action now, and that a good money saver. This is one high quality piece of equipment, and I'm very happy with my purchase. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I love this fan. This is my second Ice Cap fan and I cannot be happier with them. They are quiet and reliable. It is the only fan I have found with temp gauge that varies the speed of the fan depending on the how hot the lights get. The Ice Cap fan has prevented my nano marine aquarium from over heating and killing my fish and coral, something that happened to me me 5 years ago. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Undoubtably, this fan is quiet when plugged in, but it depends what you have it attached too. I am not cooling a light but have used this to cool underneath my stand and extract air from the cabinet. Mounting this to the cabinet created an irritating high pitch whine that blows any benefit this quiet fan had. I'm currently trying to figure out how to place this into the stand without using metal or hard materials that will transfer the vibration. Will most likely use some combination of cushion to keep it off the wood, and some securing band or wire to hold it in place. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: This is definitely one of the most high quality fans I have used on my tank. With the variable sensor it regulates the airflow and it maintains my tank at a nice 77-79 deg. It was 81-83 before the fan, well worth the cost in my opnion, when you have expensive corals and alot invested in your tank why skimp on something like this. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Works great! Sensors self regulate fan speed to allow accurate cooling on my 760 watt metal halide over a 90 gal reef tank- whether I have just the actinic flourescent on or the larger 250 Watt bulbs adjusts and keeps temps within 1.5 degrees consistently. Think I'd be even closer to within a degree if I had a better heater than my $9 special. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I think this is one of the best fans I have used on my tanks. The sensor works great for regulating fan speed. The airflow is the highest I've seen on a fan this size as well. Only downside is the price, a little steep for my liking. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I recently bought two of the Icecap 4 inch - Variable Output Fans. They are by far... some of the best fans that I have installed for myself and clients alike! They are SUPER QUIET and are very efficient in expelling excess heat when needed. I have installed numerous fans for clients of mine, and none can compare to this. FINALLY A GREAT COOLING FAN! I highly recommend it for all hobbyists and aquarium designers alike! Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I found that this fan was great if you can do without the fingerguard. Very efficient and quiet without it (maybe I just needed it tighter but it was definitely louder - as in the specs) with it on. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I have a 4" IceCap that was very noisy right out of the box. These become very noisy when the hoods get warm and the fans go to full speed. I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Very loud, even with add on silencing kits when at full volume. I did better with a PC case fan. Pay attention to db ratings on fans, this one is high. Ice Cap did not return my calls for assistance. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: 1 year old with it runnning 10 hours a day. Variable speed is great. Used as an exhaust on canopy sealing up the entire back, leaving open small area other end. Works like an attic fan for your house Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Added two to family room canopy...good reduction in trapped heat but too much background noise. Variable speed is rarely other than full once lighting warms up. Will replace fans and move to basement Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
