Like this little tank a lot. Have in my office on a file cabinet. Would have preferred a 15 gal as 10 is just two tight. The sump is too small to get your hands in and the display is a little to narrow for even a small amount of shelf LR. It is however very well made. I can say though, I knew the dimensions going in

Nice but limiting

I purchased this maybe 7 months ago as my first ever reef tank. I'm actually using it as a quarantine tank, I wanted something that looked nice that I could keep in the home office. A problem with any nano, not just this one, will be the amount of space to add gadgets that will make your life easier is quite small. This tank works well for a low bio-load display, or a nice looking quarantine.
-Low iron glass is a very nice feature, crystal clear
-The light seems to work fine with a number of different corals
-Good tank and baffle construction
-Lid is poorly constructed, I recommend going to a local glass cutter and getting a piece sized and cut. The plastic screen has already ripped out of the frame in a number of places and now sags into the water
-Keeping the tank clean is a challenge. This stems from a number of issues: 1) you will need a protein skimmer and a media reactor to keep your nitrates in check (I currently only have a protein skimmer on this tank) and really will be limited to only IM products as nothing else will fit in this particular tank 2) only one overflow and pump which means less water movement/ filtration 3) standard filter set up is quite small. I upgraded to an IM caddy so I could have a macro algae section to keep nitrates in check, but the caddy doesn't fit correctly, it pushes to the back of the tank so the water coming out of the overflow completely bypasses the caddy (fixable by putting something like a spare sponge between the back of the tank and the caddy to push it against the overflow)
-Lack of control with the LED light. You may be OK with just an on/off light but eventually you'll want the true benefit of LEDs (changing individual color outputs) which means an upgrade. If you want your corals to glow, you'll need to get a moonlight or upgrade your main light
I gave this 3 stars because it is a nice tank, but plan on a rigorous maintenance schedule to keep it looking nice. I do like the IM product line, I might recommend spending a little more and going with a larger, dual overflow system to get the extra space in back (if you're keen on an all-in-one), extra water movement and extra filtration.

Just received my tank today and it's now up and running. First impressions are great so far! Took some pics and sent them to some of my friends and they are all stoked on. My JBJ 6G cracked after years of use so decided to try IM. Glad I did. If your considering a new nano I would go with this one

Perfect Nano Tank

I was extremely impressed with the quality and finish of this tank. The Skkye light is bright enough for soft corals but can easily be supplemented by some EcoPico LED strips if needed. All in all, a great little tank especially for the price.

I purchased this tank to use as a combination display and quarantine tank for coral frags and small inverts. Quick ship by Marine Depot as always and well packed. Arrived intact despite less than gentle UPS handling.
-build quality is generally very good
-striking modern design
-nice size for a shrimp tank, coral frags, small inverts
-extremely quiet. may require a stronger pump in the future
-lighting appears adequate, time will tell
-no heater, one more ting to buy. I went with the slimline cobalt due to the restricted space in the rear compartment.
-required some tweaking to get it operational and looking right. upon installation the light was noticeably sagging from level, and the return flow nozzle coupling arrived broken. Strategic reverse bending of the light frame and a small section of vinyl hose to repair the coupling did the trick
-the filter compartments are so small, it is impossible to put your hand in to make any adjustments to the pump position, heater suction mounts, etc.
-the efficacy of the filter basket is questionable. It's a great idea, but there is so much water bypass that I will have to come up with something else. lowering the water level may help. also, the replacement media for it is ridiculously expensive.
-needless decals on the display glass that ruin the minimalist aesthetics. Put them on the rear where they belong.
-the cover is robust but not well executed. The miter joints on the aluminum frame are sloppy, with open joints. Netting is coarse and far from invisible. It ruins the otherwise first rate presentation. I will go open top or come up with something else myself.
Overall, a nice small tank at a reasonable price. I've been looking for over a year and was moved to buy when this one became available.
It would be great if it was also offered in 15 and 20 gallon cube sizes.
