Best out of the box AIO

I got the white stand with the black tank. Let me start by saying the customer service could not be any better. I will say once set up on the stand it is a nice addition to the living room. I will also add that the tank does not line up with the stand top and the false wall was glued in with a slight bow. This bow is more pronounced on the left side of the tank but does not affect the function of the filter area or the view of the tank. I am just being nitpicky. On the plus side the filter area allows for so much additions/mods you can do without having to get overly creative. It does offer room for an internal or hang on back skimmer, room for a fuge (get the led light they offer for it you can’t go wrong), room for additional bags of chemi pure elite or other media, room for a heater (Fluval 300 Watt E-Series heater), and an tunze ATO. I was surprised at how well the compartments allowed for all of this stuff. I still have room for some monitors/probes latter when I want to add them. I love the hanging column sponge boxes I think this was great foresight on the part of the designer. There are two of them and they allow for you to put in whatever you feel is best for your system, out of the box it comes with 3 stages of sponges. One is mechanical two is carbon and three is a phosphate sponge. Again I think this shows that the tank was made by a hobbyist for hobbyist. If you’re in the market for a all in one tank stop looking buy this tank you will fall in love with it.

it works

The concept is great but I just realized I have a leak between the main tank into the filter compartment, its missing a entire section of sealant on both right and left side. I purchased the Tunz 9002 Nano skimmer and Im having a hard time fitting it in the return compartment due to the return pump which leads me to another issue on this set up, the return pump is marginal at best. Its rated at 476gph. I will look at purchasing a Ehiem 2000+ pump just to get that better water circulation needed. The stand that is sold for this tank is absolutley the worst quality. $250. for press Board barely held together was a big disapointment. If this thing ever decides to spring a leak, the stand will expand and crumble. I would suggest looking for a piece of furniture probably for less money and better quality to hold this tank.

Good, but not great.

While this may grow on me, I'm not dazzled. Here are a few thoughts. First, this isn't low-iron glass. Empty, it looked like a sapphire sitting on my kitchen counter. I was dismayed to see that the black material covering the sides of the sump is just contact paper. It was marred by glue in one spot, but that cleaned up pretty well. I have serious doubts about it's longevity. But, the glass work is very well done. However, the divider between sump and display is a very flimsy piece of acrylic that is about 3/16th of an inch thick. The silicon work there was not water tight and eventually, the display tank will seep back into the sump. The silicon work for the baffles in the sump are also of dubious quality. If the sump was just a bit bigger, it could hold a much bigger skimmer. As it is, this thing is almost totally silent. The top is a bit awkward, but functional. The tank looks much better without it. Flow is awesome for an AIO tank. The filter cartridges are also very functional and well sized. As it is, this is pretty good (and a good value), but it is easy to see how it could have been improved.
