CHEAP QUALITY

I received this stand in January or February 2016, I noticed the bottom falling apart a few weeks ago. it is actually disintegrating. I waterproofed the stand before I put it up. The door now shuts hard, as the bottom is warping. I have a 25 gallon tank on it. I'm afraid it is going to break down more. do not purchase this... i was trying to save money not purchasing the Innovative Marine one. Poor decision on my part.

Poor Quality

The stand is misrepresented in the images. There are no cutouts on the back panel. Also, there are no directions, and you will end up with a lot of left over screws wondering if you missed something. There are missing pre-drilled holes for 2 of the 4 screws to be used with the hinges, and the ones there do not line up correctly. If you have another option in place of this stand I would go that route.

Nice

This stand does the job, it's not solid wood for sure, but it is sturdy even though it doesn't look like it is. For the price it's good deal. I will be putting my auto top off and water below so it's hidden from the view.

JBJ 30g Nano Aquarium Stand

The stand arrived in a flat pack with thin cardboard on the outside and flimsy beadboard styrofoam sheets and padding separating the parts but it was undamaged in shipment. The first step was to identify and label these parts with strips of masking tape and magic marker and confirm that all the parts were there. If you download the three pdf views supplied by JBJ, note that the piece marked "D" is NOT in the pack and also the shelf marked "E1" is bigger than indicated in the exploded view. The penetrations shown in "B" (the back) are not there and if you want to route hoses or wiring into the cabinet interior, you must drill them yourself. After the cam lock fasteners were drawn up tight, the stand wobbled unacceptably. I decided, since the finish is a utilitarian black pebble vinyl, to run a bead of SuperGlue along all the joints. Now the stand was solid. If you're concerned about the appearance of the stand, you could try wicking the glue into the joints from just the inside. The pairs of predrilled holes in the doors for the door hinge screws were just slightly off so I filled them with glued-in matchsticks and redrilled new holes. For those unfamiliar with european-style cabinet hinges, it helps to loosen the adjustment screw slightly (that's the inner, larger one) while mounting the doors, and then making a final adjustment with the smaller screws when everything is in place. It also helps to shim the doors away from the casing with card stock at the hinges while making adjustments. The stand does not match the high-tech styling of the tank but it is serviceable and reasonably priced considering the curved top and bottom match the tank nicely. The four supplied plastic feet have no provisions for leveling. But I have a 55 gallon hex tank on a carefully leveled stand made of MDF as this one is, and it hasn't leaked in several decades. I'm using the packing foam from the tank AND stand under the tank, just in case.

Stand is okay

First off, I can't say enough about how well Customer Service treats their customers! No matter what the situation, Customer Service is always there to take care of you!As for the stand, it did not come with any instructions. I was able to put it together in about an hour w/o the instructions so not bad. But as a manufacturer, instructions should be a must with any product. The stand seems so-so on sturdiness. I have always been a little skeptical on MDF board vs. hard word when it comes to tank stands. MDF will rot under moisture. The appearance is nice though, so as long as I keep the stand dry, should work out.
