Comments: This heater seems well built/designed/value priced. I did have to re-calibrate the knob twice to set a correct temp.; so you should have an accurate thermometer to check against. I bought a digital from this site. Save the instructions for this procedure. Jim Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: This was my second Jager Heater - my first was a smaller 7 inch 150W version that was marginally adequate for our 50 gal acquarium when the room got really cold. I love this larger unit - oversizing the heater means the acquarium stays at the set 74 deg regardless of what is happening in the room. These are high quality, long lasting, reliable units. My experience has been excellent. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: On my third heater in 3 months. First one was erratic. Second one DOA. And the third one refuses to work good most of the time also. I've been in fresh water aquariums for 25 years and have never had products as bad as these. I will never buy any more Ehiem/Jager products again. Very dissatisfied. I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I have Jager Heaters on all my tanks. They are durable and keep the tank temperature very stable. I splurged on these new Jager heaters to replace some of my older heaters because they are completely submersible, and they are UL approved. I feel better knowing that they are completely water proof, and the UL approval is something few other aquarium heaters have. I've only had these heaters for a week, but they certainly seem to be of the same high quality as my older Jager heaters. I would hate to loose fish because I wanted to save a few bucks on a heater. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Quality that you can see. Good to see this item is UL listed (Tested for safety)when so many other items in this industry are not. Saltwater / salt creep = conductive. I gladly pay more money for this item knowing it will not kill me. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I set it at 78 and my temp goes up to 82. I unplug it and watch my temp drop. I had try the second one I bought, same thing. Either my brand new digital thermometer is faulty or these heaters run way too hot. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I liked that the casing was 2mm thick of Pyrex glass. I used two 150 watt heaters on a 70 gallon reef system and I never had any problems. I replaced one of the heaters because it no longer remained steady, but it should be noted that I kept it completely submersed and it started this behavior after about a year. It was time to replace it anyway. I would buy this heater again. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: This is the BEST heater I have ever owned! (I've had about 5). Definitely worth the price. I have a solf shell turtle that tears up EVERYTHING Possible in the tank. He's constantly drilling his way past the heater banging it against the glass but no worries. Being waterproof is also a Very Nice Feature with the amount of times I have to deal with the water level. Very accurat and reliable heat settings. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: i got it... set it on 78, went to sleep that night... When i got up for work in the morning the tank was at 88!!! I lost two fish... No matter what i set it on it would not turn off! Maybe it was just the one i got but i will not use this product again. I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Purchased two of these 75 W heaters -- one to do most of the work for a small 20 gal reef tank, and the other as a backup and/or the extra heat needed for a 20 gal when the temperature outside the tank drops a few extra degrees. Out of the box, one worked great, just dial to the temperature and it holds it rock solid. The other doesn't work properly -- after an initial operation of a few minutes, won't even turn on again. I got the Jager because it had great reviews. I also use other heaters that have many bad reviews on this site, yet they've work for 7 years and still going strong with no problems. Guess that just goes to show these heaters are all the same basic technology, and not a perfect solution. Gave the Jager an average rating. Works well when it works (note - only had the one that works a week now, so we'll really see in the long run). Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Well made heater. I use it to bring my change water up to temperature in a 6 gallon bucket. It works much better than the tiny 50W I was using before obviously. Aside from the speed it heats the water, it held it quite constant in a very chilly room for quite some time with vigorous water motion in a 6 gallon bucket. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I too had one that stuck in the on position. Luckily I was only using it to heat top off water. When I came back it was over 100F. What's the deal Jager? I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Purchased these because of all the good press that they get, but I'm honestly not particularly impressed with them. The thick Pyrex glass is a great durability feature, but they seem to let the temp of the water swing too much before they react and turn themselves on/off. Perhaps when paired up with a Ranco controller these would be great, long lasting heaters. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: This is a great heater I also used Marineland heater and its a piece of junk. Temperature in my tank was +- 2F thankfully to the room temp but when I turn on fan it jumps +-5. Tired of that, got Jager. Hold temp stable even when fans are fully working. Too big, make sure it will fit into your tank. Also here it says that its fully submersible, when I read instruction and on the heater there is a max water level :-( so its not really fully submersible, I am confused. I had it fully under the water for a couple of weeks already. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I purchased 2 250 w heaters and they work pefectly for my 180g saltwater tank. If you get them and they aren't working within the degree's you need them to be , then the instruction manual will tell you what to do. There is a grey knob and a blue knob for adjustments. The blue is for adjusting the temp from the factory. They grey one is the one to change the settings from the fatory to your specifications. Hope you enjoy this product like I do. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I have atleast 8 of these heaters (I have a lot of fish tanks). 1 overheated one of my tank and killed my fish. It stayed on and never turned off. 4 of them are not accurate. It's always more hot then what I set it. So if I set it to 82 degrees it would actually be 86+ degrees. I've seem to have bad luck with these heaters. These are suppose to be one of the best in the market. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Had this barely a month and already it is fluctuating temperature pretty badly. Going to have to pull and replace it, as I went from 75 degree setpoint up to 78 and back down now to 72.5 tonight. Very disappointing. Thinking of going with an external controller. Comments: I've used visitherm, won brothers which just died. These came in and I tried to test in a 5 gal bucket. Over a 24 hr period I had a 3deg swing. I gues the theristat is not as sensitive. I got ahold of a 300 watt visitherm and it works better I feel for my 90 Gal. <1 deg swing. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: This heater is not completely submersible as the top part of the control knob stays above water (about an inch) so if you want 100% submersible its not for you. As a heater its GREAT . I have had it for awhile and works as well if not better than 2 heaters I have twice the price.The suction cups are good quality not cheap junk it holds in place well. I am going to get another one for another tank and thought would review it since here anyway. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: After my initial Jager heater finally gave out, I was unable to find one locally, so settled for a different brand which lasted a couple of years, then shorted out and fried my fish. This model calibrates quickly, easily and, most of all, accurately. A little large for some sumps, but it's pretty inconspicuous in the corner of my tank. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I have 2 of these in my 50 gallon FOWLR. They have been working ok. Calibrating with the blue knob is not an easy task...it is quite hard to pull out. Temperature fluctuates 2- 3 degrees. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
