I can use it every other week in between using the Kent Pro scraper.(My tank takes 2 wks to get hard alge on the acrylic) I use the aquamop for the alge that is light duty. It will remove some stubborn types but it just takes more elbow grease. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
