Super-Concentrated Phytoplankton Suspension for Filter Feeding Invertebrates
A highly-concentrated blend of aquacultured, naturally-occurring phytoplankton, rich in protein, omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, phytonutrients, carotenoids, vitamins, and minerals. Carotenoids have been shown to increase coloration intensity of blue, green, orange, yellow, and red pigments in tissues of filter-feeding marine invertebrates. Size range of 5-25 µm is optimal for feeding a wide range of filter-feeders. Properly preserved, contains no alcohol; Requires no refrigeration or freezing!
Add 1 drop (0.10 ml) per 50-gallons to an 8-oz. container of aquarium water, stir, and add this to the aquarium every other day. Observe reaction of aquarium residents over 8-weeks and adjust dosage accordingly thereafter. In heavily stocked reef aquariums, the dosage will likely need to be increased, however take care not to overfeed. As with any food, monitor water quality closely after feeding. Considerations for use:
Kent Marine ChromaMax presents advanced reef hobbyists with a super-concentrated suspension of carotenoid-rich phytoplankton. The unique blend of compounds provided by phytoplankton enables filter feeders to better utilize amino and fatty acids, increasing metabolic efficiency, and exhibits characteristics capable of enhancing immune systems, coloration, and protection of sensitive tissue from exposure to ultraviolet radiation. ChromaMax is conducive to feeding SPS corals, sponges, clams, scallops, bryozoans, tunicates, sea fans, filter-feeding sea cucumbers, and many annelid worms such as feather dusters and Christmas tree worms.
ChromaMax comprises one part of the Kent Marine Advanced Reef Care (ARC) regimen. Using this product in conjunction with PhytoMax and ZooMax, advanced reef hobbyists are able to provide an economical simulation of the natural variety of plankton available to filter-feeders, hence providing a more natural environment and proper nutrition to these organisms in captivity. When using with other foods, alternate use of products every other day or decrease dosage by half (if using two products) or one-third (if using three products) and dose every other day.
