I already use a Korallin Reactor for Nitrates and was very happy with the results. This new Calcium Reactor has turned out to be just as good. The instructions for this one were very good and better than the instructions for the Nitrate Reactor. It is a little difficult to get the CO2 bubble count set properly to stay repeatable, but I am guessing this would be true for any CO2 needle valve. The equipment is top-notch. I had some leaks on the inlet assembly when I put the unit together, but they sent a replacement right away with no hassle and the problem was fixed.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

This is my second Ca2+ reactor and I am much happier. It has been up and running for over a year now. Easy to tune and you can almost forget it's running. It uses very little CO2 and the Eheim pump ran dry for an extended period of time without any ill-effects. Cons - the initial brass check valve failed wihtin months after a power outage; the outlet valve will clog with calcium build-up and require periodic cleaning.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

This thing rocks, as far as setup goes no issues the Ehiem pump that came with it is missing the inlet and outlet tubes. I can let marine depot know and they will take care of it. Everything else is great.

If your tank is 100 gallons or less, get this one, any more go with the C-3002. These reactors are great, but the ratings are too high. This could not keep up with a 180 gallon. If you want SPS, and since your buying a calcium reactor you probably do, over size your reactor.

I was having a lot a trouble with the alkalinity in my tank. I was adding buffer left and right. I put the reatcor in-line with a denitrator. The alkilinity problem was immediately resolved. Ph levels returned to normal. The reactor is easy to monitor by watching the bubble count. For my 75 gallon tank, I have the bubbles set at one every 5-6 seconds. The calcium levels took a week to callibrate. I've had the unit for 6 months and haven't needed to make any adjustments since the initial installation.

I've had the Korallin C1502 running on my 75 gal for 6 months and is doing great. Only complaint I have is when I first recieved the unit one of the water line fittings was cross threaded and leaked, all the CO2 fitting were leaking, marinedepot promptly sent replacements. The reactor has mantained the ALK / CA with no problems. Hope the manufactor improved the workman ship on the products I would highly recommend this unit to other

Comments:
If you are set on a Ca reactor this product package meets your needs. It has everything that is needed to set up and get you Ca & PH levels were they are needed for a SPS reef tank. Contrary from what has been posted in the past the instructions were complete and easy to follow. Set up complete system in less than an hour. Reactor is well made, simple to set up, and works if you get your PH correct for it to breakdown the material. The pump is perfectly quiet and you won't know it is on. The Co2 tank can be filled or exchanged at any welding supply. The selnoid is a must with a PH controller (separate purchase) to maximize the setup benefit. MD recommends a lifter pump, take their advice, it will maximize the output and insure the system works from day one. Over the long holiday weekend my CA was 480 and PH 8.2. I can't ask for anything more for a SPS tank. Quality is the best description.

After 3 years of use, it's still reliable and going strong. The only thing I don't like is the supplied valves, which should be replaced with pinch valves.

I purchased this reactor in order to be able to house all my equipment in my stand. Tank is an 90G SPS dominated. The reactor is superb easy to setup and dial in and has kept my ALK/CA in perfect harmony. Would highly recommend.

Compact, powerful, & oh soo easy to setup. Mine is on a pH controller, probe inserted through the lid port (must-have option), and intake via airline tee (off my UV sterilizer) so dialing in is easy. Best of all it looks great, not like the others that look like a high school plumbing project.

This unit says up to 400 gallons which is over rated. My tank is 125 and it still couldn't keep the levels up. I really wish I wouldn't have bought it. I would much rather do the two part additive which you add daily. No problems with this unit which is a year old now, but it's over rated.
I would not recommend this product to my friends.

I've used the Korallin 1502 for 7 years on my 220 gallon show tank. It works so well I've purchased a second system for my SPS growout tanks. The reverse flow design guarantees ample contact time between the CO2 saturated water and the media. It doesn't just all bubble up at the top of the reactor. I do recommend buying a micro pump for the feed supply, as it will pressurize the reactor, making CO2 saturation more complete.

Excellent reactor for the size

Comments:
I needed a reactor with a tiny footprint since I lack the luxury of an entire equipment room. This reactor fit the bill. Easy to set up. Takes some practice dialing in, but that may have been a function of the fact that this is my first reactor. Depending on your setup, since this is a single chamber reactor, the effluent pH can impact tank pH somewhat. I would recommend dripping limewater to offset this.

Doesn't keep up levels

It says up to 400 gallons. Not! No way! My tank is a 125 and it can't keep up the calcium levels. I've been playing with this thing for a year now. It runs good and I haven't had any problems with it, but I would recommend getting a bigger unit, but the thing is the bigger units cost much more. I would try a Kalkreactor before this, which is much cheaper and it will keep your ph levels up unlike these which lowers them. Also the last shipment I got of the Korallin media was very small pieces of coral, much smaller than the first shipment. It last about 4 to 6 months and you need to replace media. I give it only three stars because it says up to 400 gallons which is a joke, it can't keep the levels up when they are up. I still have to add calcium at least twice a week.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
