OK, But

Seems to work OK as long as you do not touch it. I have it mounted via the supplied stickies on the front of my aquarium stand with the probe in the sump. If you put your hand on the display unit, and especially if you push the little button to light the display, the temperature reading immediately starts fluctuating by several degrees - annoying. If I buy another thermometer, it won't be this one.

tanted temp

This thermometer is not for serious aquarium hobbyist as it is not accurate enough to trust its readings. With fish and coral costing so much as they do this thing can and in my experience unreliable. I sending it back.

Works well so far!

I like this thermometer over myself old one. Old one was about 10$ and this one may not be the most exact for temperature, it works well for me.

Terrible

I bought one of these, it was defective. It was replaced and the replacement was also defective. The product displayed a temperature swing of at least 8 degrees for no reason - I know this is an accurate statement because I placed 2 other thermometers immediately contiguous to the new ones under identical conditions - they worked fine. I've no idea why this product gets such good ratings.

EXCELLENT CHOICE

Excellent product. Easy to install and use. I checked it for accuracy, and right on the money. Really don't understand the need for a clock function but I just don't use that part. Only had it a short while, so time will tell if it has longevity.

Nice affordable simple

This uses a standard AAA battery. For me this was the selling feature as I'm sick and tired of buying button batteries. I use rechargeable AAA batteries so this saves me alot of money in the long run. It was very easy to install, comes with everything it needs and worked right out of the box with no calibration or delays or any problems. Has a light button which makes it easy to read in the dark. Displays in celsius or farenheit. Tells the temperature of the tank. It does even more features that I didn't need but they're still cool. Tells you the time and tells you the ambient air temperature.

thermometer

This item is ok but not great. I use it to check on my thermostats after a bad experience. If they are close (within a degree or two) with this thermometer, I can relax. This item is quite portable and not hard to use once you get the hang of it. The time feature is of absolutely no value.

Lifegard Aquatics Time - Temp

Ordered this item so I would know the temp in my tank. Added a chiller and this item is real close to what I keep my temp at. Chiller will say 77 and this little guy will say 76 so to me thats pretty close. Worth the money to buy one for your tank.

Excellent

I've had mine for just over a year now. Great unit. I've got it stuck to my canopy with the probe tucked away nicely in the overflow chamber. Very accurate, very dependable. I would definitely recommend it.
