This uses a standard AAA battery. For me this was the selling feature as I'm sick and tired of buying button batteries. I use rechargeable AAA batteries so this saves me alot of money in the long run.
It was very easy to install, comes with everything it needs and worked right out of the box with no calibration or delays or any problems.
Has a light button which makes it easy to read in the dark. Displays in celsius or farenheit. Tells the temperature of the tank.
It does even more features that I didn't need but they're still cool. Tells you the time and tells you the ambient air temperature.

This item is ok but not great. I use it to check on my thermostats after a bad experience. If they are close (within a degree or two) with this thermometer, I can relax. This item is quite portable and not hard to use once you get the hang of it. The time feature is of absolutely no value.

Ordered this item so I would know the temp in my tank. Added a chiller and this item is real close to what I keep my temp at. Chiller will say 77 and this little guy will say 76 so to me thats pretty close. Worth the money to buy one for your tank.

I've had mine for just over a year now. Great unit. I've got it stuck to my canopy with the probe tucked away nicely in the overflow chamber. Very accurate, very dependable. I would definitely recommend it.

This is my second "Little Time or Temp" unit. The previous one lasted about 15 years despite getting wet and dropped occassionaly! My only desire for this fine product would be to make it more water resistant for outdoor use. Fast service was welcome as well, since my pond is warming and I want to feed the fish at the right time. Thank you, I will return to your sight.

Seems like a simple device but the unit I got is +5 degrees. I don't see any tuning adjustment so I have to do a little math when I read it.
But at least its a consistant +5 degrees high! (Trying to find a silver lining.)
You may want to pick another thermometer.

I have been using this on one of my 24 gallon Nano Tanks for almost 3 years. It works great, is reliable and accurate. I check it on occasion with another digital thermometer and it is always up to speed.
A good product IMO.
