Nice pump for the money

This is a very nice little pump down in my sump. It has plenty of flow at 40" to the inflow of the tank. Great value.

pump for turtle tank

Made a home made canister filter for my daughters turtle tank.this pump is virtually silent and just perfect for this use.i am thinking about 3 feet of head loss the turn over rate is more than i expected. The turtles like to body surf in the curent.the tnk was very cloudy this pump had lt cleared over nite o i forgot to mention its a 75 gallon tank.

LIFEGARD QUIET ONE PUMP

I'm using this pump as a return pump and replacing a MAG9.5. This pump pushes more water and is silent. I consider this an excellent pump considering the efficiency and price.

Lifegard Aquatics 3000 pump

I have had this pump running as my return pump for about 3 months now. I have had no issues with it's performance and think it is well worth the price. It makes no noise at all compared to my skimmer and overflow box. Not sure where all the noise complaints are coming from in other reviews. I think after head loss and switching current water device the output is around 500 gph. I did have to use thread tape on the barbed hose adapter to get a tight fit so it would not come off from the pressure. Working very well.

Cool but not quiet

It has decent to good head pressure for its price thing unfortunately it does give off some audible operation vibration. I have an open stand and it is used to power an olde skool skimmer with a Venturi and the pump is all hard line connected. So this may be the cause, however I did run it in a bucket and it was noisy. I can easily hear it from 20' away. Good efficiency though at only 58 watts. In case you're familiar with the Mag, I'll compare this pump to a Danner mag 9.5 which has about the same stats and performs about the same physically though the Mag is a little more pricey. It produces much less heat, I'd say about 40% less which is about how much less power is uses compared to the Mag though the Mag beats it in quietness ...

Very good value for the price

I purchased the 5000 model and tested it out before putting it into service. The volume and pressure delivered by the pump is significant. Initially it was incredibly noisy though. After trying some different things what ended up reducing the noise to a very mild hum was 2 things. 1, I removed the impeller cover and seated the bushings more securely, in the process I also made sure the flow diverter on the impeller cover was properly aligned with the return outlet. 2, I removed the outer housing with the flow regulator and will not use it. This had the biggest impact on reducing noise and I basically just threaded a 1" valve on the intake to adjust the output volume (it is always best to restrict the intake rather than the output to adjust volume). So initially it was very noisy for a product named "Quiet One". But after a small amount of fiddling it really is a very quiet pump for the amount of output it can generate. I would equate it to a modern refrigerator when the compressor comes on if that helps you to imagine it. I'm very happy overall with the purchase.

Not Quite One at all!

I just installed this pump as a replacement in my reef tank in my apartment...And now i'm returning it only 24 hours later because IT IS SO LOUD. My washer, dryer, tv, and radio could all be on and this pump is still too loud. Other than that it is probably a good pump for the money. Probably great for a small pond. I was excited to save a little money over choosing other brands but you get what you pay for.

Lifegard pump

I rcvd the pump but have not set it up yet, so I can't rate it on it's performance at this time. What I do know is that it is solidly built and well made. I will have to check back in at a later date once I have it running to give it a proper review.
