Comments: Pretty good pump overall. However, it is pretty loud when in an under the cabinet set-up. Also runs a little hotter than I expected it to, I have a 1" check valve just above the output connection and if that is the reason for it running hotter due to the restriction of water flow then I am thinking it might not last as long as I hope. We shall see. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Good pump, great flow, noisy, lots of vibrations. Not recommended for anywhere you want to sleep. I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I have a 3-MDQ-SC that has been running for about 5 years now with no issues. I DO oil it 2 times a year with a decent synthetic oil (30 WT). There are 2 small caps on top at each end.... pull them pout and put a couple drops of oil in the holes... then replace caps. My pump is mounted on a small wood ledge near my basement ceiling and was noisy at first, but I went to a hobby store and bought some silicone foam (about a 6" by 8" piece) and put it under the pump. No more vibration! I run a UPS power standby unit on this pump and it works fine for about 3 hours during power outages. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: This is a cheap pump and quite possible the loudest aquarium pump on the market. High water volume and worked without problems for several years. I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: This 3-MDQX-SC Inline Pump i bought USED off my fish breeder and well being a woman what did i know! I ran it for 9yrs and no maitainence (i hear you giggling)! I also breed Discus amongst growing diverse plants etc. POINT: It was used 3 or 4 years before I used it for 9yrs!!! THIS is the best pump!! I have DISCUS andn wet/dry filger. HOWEVER my brother has a 220 gal tank, a serious Salt Water Enthusiast ALSO uses the LITTLE GIANT PUMP running now 8 yrs NO PROBLEMS (yes he maintains his)!! only problem: the OLDER ones were a tad loud but the sound of the water is nice and override sound of pump. what pump runs 10 to 12 yrs??? BEST BUY for the money! esp/a woman that didn't do a thing other than weekly water changes and cleaning out tubes. HEY at least i am honest. :) Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: the little giant is an awsome pump.It's quiet and does exactly what I wanted.I also have another one for my main pump,this one is for ro circulation and refilling the tank after evaporation and water change. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I purchased this pump for inline sump set up. I attached 2-MDQX-SC to a thin piece of wood. Laid a thick yoga mat under sump and pump. The cabinet is all insulated with closed back, but I still can hear humming noise as it bounces of the wall behind cabinet. I did not try sound board, because I got tired of constructing and spending money on this set up. For right now I simply got MaxiJet 1800 by Marineland, which I submersed in sump. No sound! My girlfriend is happy! If the water temp goes up I will try to install MaxiJet inline (it has that option!) If the noise is not the main factor for you, 2-MDQX-SC is a great powerfull pump. If you like tranquility of aquarium hobby, you’ll need to explore other options. I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: the little giant is perfect for my application. Had my first little giant installed, and ran continously for over 5 years. I had assumed that perhaps I caused it to fail when lines got clogged and well just over heated. with replacement... running like a champ again. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: 3-MDQX-SC Inline Pump is a good pump witha lot of bang for the buck. I have a limited budget for my reef tank and I have depended on these low caost and low mantince pumps for years with little to no problems Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I needed a pump to give me 500 gph +/- at about 3-4 feet of head with several 90s. This is doing a fine job feeding my Deltec AP702. Quiet, low electricity usage. What more can I ask for. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Excellent construction and lots of power. Not the quietest pump I have seen/heard but for my application where my sump is in the basement and tank on the first floor I needed lift power and gph. Which this pump provides both. I have ~11ft of height and probably 15ft of head pressure. No complaints from the pumps and lots of water moved. I definitely recommend this product. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I've had this same model for over 6 years. Running constantly! This thing was built like a tank. It probably would have lasted longer had I not neglected to oil the darn thing. Thanks Little Giant. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
