Mr. Aqua Frameless Aquariums
Mr. Aqua aquariums are produced using high clarity glass with thicknesses ranging between 5mm to 10mm depending on the size. By eliminating the plastic frame that surrounds typical aquarium systems, the Mr. Aqua aquarium provides a clean and clear view of your aquatic life.
Normally the plastic frame is used to support and keep the glass from bending under pressure in standard quality aquariums. Mr. Aqua utilizes a thicker glass for increased rigidity with a specially formulated silicone manufactured in Germany that bonds the glass together with extreme strength while being safe for your fish and aquatic life.
Each glass aquarium is meticulously assembled with straight and true beveled cut glass and a fine application of high strength silicone, making the Mr Aqua aquarium not only watertight and rigid but aesthetically pleasing to the eyes.

I grabbed the 17.4 rectangle. I had some trepidation about the extra handling fee, as well as it getting cross-country in 1 piece, but it was less than half the price of a 60-P so I gave it a shot. Wow - I can see where the handling money went! Massive box, massive bubble wrap, massive peanuts! Arrived in pristine shape and is very nicely made with a smoothly beveled top edge and clean joints. It's really about as well made as my ADA 30C and the glass seems about the same (it's a few years old and not the high-clarity version). I can see buying more Mr. Aqua.

Use some API Safe and Easy Spray on the exposed glass at the top (inside) during water changes to prevent deposits from etching at the water line. It will streak, but finish it with a clean dry rag and your exposed edge will positively gleam. I would say that painting the back whatever color you desire is also the way to go. Mr. Aqua makes a great tank that is a nice starting point for a very clean setup.

Ok, so I am not exactly the most gentle person when it comes to carrying large boxes. This tank was packaged SO incredibly well that even dropping it from my car to the ground and again several times before reaching my window bench (my stand for it) the tank was unharmed! When I opened the box a million peanuts came flying out just like previous reviews said! It was fun to play around and hide in the box under the peanuts to scare my roommate! The tank came with the corners aligned correctly and no overlay! There was no need to use a razorblade or anything either. There is a definite thick green color to the edging on the bottom and thinner color

The packing was very well done( seemed like almost no chance of being damaged!) it's a really sleek and clean aquarium that's super sturdy, so I love it! But I have it 4 and not 5 stars because the tank glass isn't the color depicted! It has a blue-ish tinge to it, and I was hoping for a clear tank to fit better with the decore of my room.

This 12 Gallon Long by Mr. Aqua is perfect for Aquascaping a real desk beauty. I did a fresh water set up with some Betta Albimarginata. Some people are using it for a reef and I would like to do one myself. If you like the look of a long scape and who doesn't, or just don't have the room for something big or you are lke me and just love to create on a small scale then this tank if perfect for you. The top corners on mine don't quite match up and the silicon job is not as neat as others are saying but I got over that as soon as I filled it with water. The packing could have used more tape to hold the box closed but it still arrived undamaged from California to New York. I like it so much I'm buying another one.

After using Aqueon aquariums for the past few years, I decided to replace a few of my smaller ones with a Mr. Aqua 12 long.
I am very impressed with the overall quality of this aquarium and its beautiful aesthetic.
So much so that I just ordered another Mr. Aqua aquarium
(a 13.3 bowfront).
For those looking for lighting systems you will also find that a Hagen GLO T-5 36" fixture will fit the Mr. Aqua 12 long perfectly. And the Hagen GLO T-5 24" will fit the 13.3 bowfront perfectly.
The GLO lighting systems also look very nice sitting atop the Mr. Aqua aquariums. As for quality, from what I have read, the Mr. Aqua tanks are every bit as nice as the Aqua Design Amano aquariums, but at a fraction of the cost.
Highly recommended!
