Neptune = Perfect

This EB4 is running the gear attached to my DT. I have a basement fish room with an EB8 for control down there. The EB4 is controlling off/on for my AI Hydras (Mostly emergency off if necessary) and on/off for my Gyre for feeding. I still have a ginormous 300W Eheim Jager in my overflow providing heat which is also running on my EB4. The APEX is controlling the temp by cycling the heater. (I don't trust heater thermostats.) Another very solid Neptune product.

Best module for running low wattage dosing pumps. It turns the outlet on or off reliably as programmed unlike the triac switch outlets on the EB8 which needs a higher wattage device plugged in. The apex may say the EB8 triac switch outlet is off but the outlet is still providing power causing the dosing pump to continue pumping. The switch actuation on the EB4 is silent which surprised me. No loud clicking like on the EB8's mechanical switches (outlet 4&8). This module is pricey but its worth it for piece-of-mind that my pumps will turn off according to my programmed settings.

Easy to install. Easy to program. I bought this to replace three unreliable timers I was using with dosers. I have a lot more confidence knowing that the program can't be manipulated by a single push of a button. Another excellent product from Neptune.

just what I needed

It's a bit pricey, but it's exactly what I needed alongside the Apex Jr. Works great.

Have needed this for a while

Bought the Apex a couple years ago and needed to add this expansion unit... I have about 21 things that need to be plugged in and I'm using about 20-25 Amps sometimes; so, I was overdue in getting this product. It was kind of late when I was installing and ran into small snag with my current software. So, I called the Neptune Systems helpline and they got everything up to speed right away; awesome support! So, if you run into any issue, no matter how small, don't hesitate to call the Neptune folks.

Energy Bar 4

Excellent addition to your Neptue system. I have this in my pump room wich is 20 feet away from the display tank, probe module, and EB8. I also have the display unit in this room; it has a fixed cable so instead of using an extender I plugged it into the EB4 and used a 30 foot USB cable to connect the EB4 into the probe module. Totally plug and play.
