Remove excess nutrients before they ever enter your tank

Frozen foods are great for your fish, but they`re often packed in a nutrient and phosphate laden binder. Inspired by our friend Adam Jenkins, NextReef Frozen Food Strainers are a convenient way to thaw, rinse and feed those meaty foods to your tank.

Strainers are designed for large to medium chunk foods, and have laser-cut holes approximately .015" - that`s a little bigger than baby misis shrimp.

“Worthless”
1.0

The only thing this would strain is whole clams and shrimp. Mysis and brine just fall through the strainer. Like I said, worthless.

“Great idea”
5.0

Have been using a homemade version of something like this for awhile. This is far better. Clean, defrosted food for my fish without any of the unnecessary fillers that accompany frozen foods.

“Frozen food strainer”
2.0

UGH! Much of the food gets trapped in the holes before the water can run out as well as food getting past the holes in the strainer. A lot of shrimp got past.

“Strainer Somewhat Substantial.”
3.0

Doesn't work on the brine shrimp I buy but works well on mysis. The holes are too big.
