NextReef MR1 Complete Media Reactor
NextReef Reactors Loom Large Over the Competition!
The MR1 families of Media/Substrate Reactors feature a massive 4-inch reaction chamber. The extra wide design maximizes water to media contact, increasing efficiency and minimizing dead zones in the reactor.

The NextReef MR1 stands over 14 inches tall... that`s over a half gallon, big enough for large reef systems - up to 250 gallons.
Every NextReef Reactor is hand-crafted in the USA from the highest quality materials, and CAD engineered / CNC cut for a precise fit.

As others have stated, this is a great reactor. No leaks, pumps is great. Make sure you get extra tubing if you have a deep sump or need to place the reactor a little far from your sump. Highly recommended.

This is top notch build quality and design. NextReef seems to have gotten the message that quality sells. Installed on our 180G reef and its pulling out bad stuff right out of the box. Nice that everything is included for immediate use. (A sample of their Phosphate remover would be a great selling point for the "Complete" kit...) Looking at adding a 2nd to our Reef.

Get reactor comes with its own pump but the pump can be a lil weak if you need to large amounts of media. I'm running Phosphate Extract and carbon in mine for now no tumbling needed just water flow.

Just installed NextReef's MR1 complete kit. It only took 15 minutes to set up and get the unit running.
Quality of the unit is great. I did add a valve to the inlet. This is to prevent siphoning when leaving the pump in the water during media change.
I love the fact that this is made in Florida.

A media reactor and pump all in one? YEAH BABY!! can't go wrong with the heavy duty construction, the matched pump, and ease of use. If you've been wanting a media reactor...get this one. You can use it for carbon, GFO, bio media...whatever. The adjustable pump makes it possible to dial in just the right anmount of flow needed for whatever you're gonna use. And the price is great!!

This product is just as good of quality as the more pricey phos reactors. The only big difference is the price. The saying u get what u pay for is usually right but in this case this product is just as good as the expensive ones.

So I guess as many of you reading on here I was on the fence about buying the NextReef reactor, I had used other reactors in the past and they all seem to leak and had a cheap feeling to it. But that is not the case with this reactor, it is perfect I had it up and running in 15 min after I opened the box, it comes with everything you might need to set it up. Perhaps the only thing you might need a bit extra is tubing depending of where you want to set up this reactor. The pump that it comes with its easy to use and allows for the media to gently tumble inside the reactor. Overall a great product!

Since I've been doing this I've been using a well known, less expensive brand of media reactor. It did the job, no major complaints. But this Nextreef reactor is so well built, it exceeded my expectations. No leaks, no worries and well priced. Customer service is A++

After the first 24 hours I used the reactor, the phosphate level drop 1 ppm in my 220 gallon aquarium. I can not wait to do another test to see how much more it has fallen. This is a great kit for the price; the only problem I had was trying to stop the leak on the lid.
