Ocean Nutrition`s new and improved Frozen Prime Reef™ formula is based on the classic Ocean Nutrition formulas, but with an important modification: a natural binder of marine origin that replaces the beef gelatin. Fresh ingredients such as Mysis shrimp, mussel, squid, salmon eggs, brine shrimp and more provide an excellent source of marine protein essential for excellent health and growth.
Ocean Nutrition Frozen Prime Reef™ formula also contains select ingredients to support natural coloration, vitality and increases palatability. An excellent food for miniature reef aquariums, damselfish, clownfish, chromis, anthias, gobies, blennies, wrasses and more.
Our new Frozen Prime Reef™ formula is based on a unique binding gelling system that is marine in nature, with a specific amino acids profile that is highly digestible by fish. It has high biological affinity to aquatic animals. It is a unique hydrocolloid system that we have found that in certain concentrations, keeps our frozen products from collapsing in the aquarium, but is easily consumed by fish. Because of specific ionic bonds between the ingredients, the flavor of the food is enhanced attracting many different fish species. Melting and gelling temperature of the formula is low, which makes it adventitious for various warm and cold water species.
The product floats and sinks slowly, providing food for fish at different levels. The food is easily consumed without the fish using extra energy in order to break up food for digestion. This increases anabolic-positive energy for better health.
Ocean Nutrition`s new Frozen Prime Reef™ formula with the gelling system does not contain synthetic preservatives, and keeps vitamins, fatty and amino acids intact eliminating possibilities of toxicity.
Our frozen gel diets have been designed to maximize the presence of natural unprocessed intact ingredients and minimize the presence of gel binders, the purpose of which is to bind ingredients and add a specific pattern of amino acids that are highly digestible and synergic with aquatic organisms, therefore it is not recommended to thaw or heat our frozen formula diets for feeding, just drop the cube in the aquarium.
