Comments: I do think this is a great pump, for all intent and purposes. It is, as many state, silent! I wish they did not discontinue the PS3, however because this one, although it pumps a good deal of water it looses its push by 6' and I need more. Because it is not a pressure pump it just can't do it. Otherwise, my biggest issue is the HEAT. This guy really does get hot. My 140 gallon marine tank went from 76 to 81 in about 24 hours. Even with a fan put in front of it I can only get it down about two degrees. Anyhow, do keep this in mind. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I have been using the PS2 pump for about 3 months now and it is absolutely silent, cannot hear it at all. The pressure/flow is great and pump housing is only slightly warm to the touch. (Since I was already using a chiller, I am not sure how much heat it is actually transfering to the water.) Overall, I am very happy with this pump. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: The PS3 works as described.Very quiet.Thought it was not working,the pump is so quiet.Good volume,small size fits more applications.Only draw back so far, bolt heads stick out just looking for some knuckles on pump end.I would buy another one. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: What a wonderful return pump! I have one running as a sump return on a 120g Cichlid tank. Four things that it has going for it include. First, its small size, I expected this pump to be about 50% larger than it is, but it pushes quiet a lot of water for it's size. Second, it is really quiet. Asides from the normal start-up gush it runs silent, I cannot tell that it's even on other than the noticable return current. Third, it was real easy to install and mount within my cabinet. Finally, though the company notes that this pump may raise the temperature of the water several degrees, I have yet to see an impact. In fact, I still have to use and additional heater the keep the temp at 78. So far I cannot think of a single gripe or complaint about it. All around I could not be happier with this pump. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: This is my second of these pumps. the first one lasted 5 years of constant use! I cant complain. I noticed that this one runs much cooler to the touch and runs very quiet! I give this pump the thumbs up. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: This pump is truly silent - I had to place my hands on the pump to see if it was even running when I first started it. I live in a cooler area, so the little bit of extra heat this pump generates saves on my overall energy bill compared to other pumps. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: This pump is awesome, it's virtually impossible to hear... the normal water noises are louder than it is but it kinda was a pain because my tank runs right around the perfect temperature without the heater ever running. This pump adds between 2 and 4 degrees Fahrenheit to my 60 gallon system. I added a fan that blows directly on the pump and it brought it down by about 2 degrees but now I can hear the fan so the quite pump was kinda pointless :p Also, it's made in some European country so that was interesting; don't see that too much these days. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I purchased the PS3 several months ago. This is a great pump very low noise and it doesn't affect my water temp. I have it running a three hundred gallon system pushing seventeen feet of head. Very good water flow. I highly recommend this pump.The only noise I hear is the water flowing into the wet sump. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: been doing this almost ten years,tank size 300gal.one of three pumps continiously running,and by far the quietest,aside from the PS2,have to put my hand on it to make sure its running, pump runs thru 1/2hp aqua logic chiller,heat was not an issue,hope this helps!!! Comments: After some plumbing additions since moving from a wet pump to exernal I plugged it in and actually went to check my power strip because I didn't think it came on but low and behold water started coming out the returns in the tank! It was so quiet I removed my soundproofing foam from the inside of my tank doors and still only hear the water gently trickling. Only problem I'm having is that I purchased a second one for my protein skimmer but the pump is having difficulty with the micro bubbles so need to investigate a differnt venturi setup. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: It's small for it's ouput. It's quiet, and has a minimal heat transfer. Couple that with a manufacturer's 2 year warranty, and you have a marine marriage made in heaven! Just remember it's an external pump, So DO NOT SUBMERGE it. The PS4 comes with a 1 inch "barb" (slip fit. 1 inch ID tibing will fit snugly, than justput a hose clamp on it to be safe.I can heartly receommend this pump. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I have been using this pump for over a year on my 75g sps tank. I noticed right away that it added a lot more heat than the Mag12 I was using previously, about 4 deg warmer. It would not be possible to use this pump without a chiller. I am switching this pump out for two Iwaki MD RLXT-20's. these will pump a little more water using less wattage and adding less heat. I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Anyone who's looking for a non-priming pump, dont look any further! This little pump works very well with my salt water setup and its SUPER QUIET. I used to have a CA 1800 in my sump and the vibrations from it were way louder than this guy. Simply amazing! I added a flow valve to it and its perfect! I was also able to benefit from the heat that it puts out to keep my 75gal tank to a decent temperature. Between this and my lamp i dont need a heater at all. The temperature went up about 4 degrees F. ENJOY! Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: This is the only truly quite pump I have ever used. I had a Gen-X for about a week and replaced it with this. OMG what a difference. It is dead silent, no noise no vibration. I hate noisy equipment. The loudest thing in my setup are the fans on my lights. Every manufacturer claims their pumps are quite but that is BS. Read reviews from super picky people like me before you buy. There is NO diffence in noise between on and off, seriously. I have had mine running as my sump return pump (sump to chiller to tank) for 2 years with no problems. Highly recommended. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Silent isn't a quiet enough word to describe this pump. I've read reports of this being quiet but it's practically inaudible. The 4" water fall in my 40G sump is louder than this pump! Great water pressure too Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I have had two of these pumps running continuously for two years without even the slightest problem. If it weren't for the sounds of moving water, you could forget the're running. One pump circulates from the tank to a sump thruogh a chiller, while the other handles the skimmer loop. Plenty of power, silent, reliable and comes coplete with power cord. I can find no fault. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Assuming this is the same pump as the Velocity T1 through T4 series (looks and sounds exactly the same), it is indeed a very good pump. It doesn't have a built in fan, and does run a bit hot (only reason for 4 stars instead of 5), but I've found that if you clean it regularly (every couple of months), it's no hotter than the Gen X pump I have which does have a built in fan. You can also point a computer fan at it, which does wonders for the heat issue. Onto the good points, when they say the pump is silent, they mean it. Granted, I have the normal aquarium noises muting the sound somewhat, but I literally have to either put my ear within inches of the pump or put my hand on it to make sure it's running. I've also inadvertently tested the dry run cut-off feature, and it works as advertised. The pump was running dry for at least 2-3 days while I was away on vacation and is still in perfect working order. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: This pump is barely audible and provides good flow rate as specified at lower pressures. Flow rate drops to near zero at about 10 psi (23 ft H2O) I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: This pump is WATER COOLED. It WILL heat your water up. My 20 gal tank will not run below 81 degrees while this pump is running. It is however silent and very powerfull. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
