I've had my eye on this for a while now. Finally decided to by it due to a break in my former sump/fuge system. Its very well put together, and the redline skimmer is top notch. There is a reason why PM is the choice for professional aquarium setups. The only drawback for me was the size of the return pump chamber. Its just a littel too small. I almost couldn't fit my mag 5 return pump into it. Otherwise its 5 stars from me

requires a lot of maintanence. Clean sock every 2-3 days. Ajust skimmer daily. Sock hard to change. refugium to small. Over priced. After all this the filter works fine.

i gotta say its nicely built especially went nice with my vertex alpha 170 skimmer.its a all in one sump, refugium sits in the middle with an additional light sold seperatly,CPR aquafuge light fits perfectly.one thing that puts all sumps and refugiums in detail is its grooves that u see in the middle chamber which cuts the remaining microbubbles after the refugium.this sump is a bang for the buck.as for what its worth, its best to have the largest.

I have the R30 W/RL175 on my 90 gallon fowlr. This is the best bang for your buck. all in one that works great. very good quality. nitrate, nitrite dropped to zero after about 1 month. be carefull when first setting up skimmer. You will have to adjust it. It will take about two days to really dial it in. since hardly any instructions i had to call marine depot to get specs and inst.. great service. i would strongly recomend getting a collection cup because this thing can really skim. having experience with 4 other skimmers i can honestly say that this one is by far the best bang for your buck. If your thinking about getting it and your not sure......GET IT you wont be disappointed. I dont think it will be anything to worry about because the acrylic is very think. thank you marine depot for fast shipping and great service!
