BIO DIGEST is a hyper-concentrated bacterial compound that satisfies two functions: Installing biological filtration and digesting aquarium waste.

I have a 120/gal mixed reef and nitrates were running about 4. There were no reductions using this product and gave it 4 months, I do 10% water changes like clock work with r/o di every weekend and have 4 medium sized fish and many inverts, I even reduced feedings to every other day and nothing.

I have reviewed this product and tested it, it does in deed work and does help alot for those of us without refugiums that use smaller tanks, or those who cant use massive biopellet reactors. The price is what everyone says is bad but if you consider I use this twice a month, thats 24 vials a year and you get 30 vials for 50 dollars, thats a cost of 50 dollars a year to keep your system clear and reduce need of water changes, saving you money on salts and possibility of dead fish or bleached corals, in my opinion 50 dollars a year is well worth it.

Buy it, use it, follow the directions. If you can keep water parameters in check without using this product, try it anyway. If you can get over the price, you will not be dissatisfied! BioDigest, Bioptim, Reefbooster : a fabulous combination.

I am in the cycling stage and my nitrates were up and then my ammonia and nitrites started going out of whack. By adding this double dose the first week, it helped it to stabilize, but adding the vial the second week, well, my ammonia and nitrites are back at zero and the nitrates are holding at 15 which is excellent for cycling a tank. My tank is clearing up and beginning to show spots of coraline algae as well.

It's difficult to rate this product. I'm still hopeful that it will have a positive impact, but so far I haven't seen the results that other commenters have experienced. The nitrate level hasn't come down, and I have used the supplement twice already, and I've done a few water changes as well. I wish there were more information that came with the package. There are very minimal instructions printed on the box, and that's it.

My nitrates were about 160ppm. I did a 40% water change the day Ordered this stuff and another 40% the day it arrived. I added 2 vials to my 55g tank on Thursday. My nitrates were between 20-30ppm. WOW!!!!!!! I can't wait to do another water change on Wed. and add another vial. One of the staff recommended this product after right many emails back and forth. I have to say the customer service is unbelievable!
