good/cheap skimmer by salty

Comments: although I am new to saltwater this skimmer seems to work very well especially for the price. I have mine placed in my sump and it pulls alot of skimate. set it and forget it no hassles in readjusting after break in. make sure to get a powerful/adjustable air pump though. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I chose this model because of all the horrible reviews of the venturi powered hangons.Within 24 hrs I had about 1/4 cup of nasty skimmate! This product seems to work really well! Only drawback is it has to go inside the tank or in a refugium. But can be easily hidden as I opted for the corner of my tank. Great product! Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: A great protein skimmer! I was concerned with putting the skimmer in my tank. I thought it was going to be big and ugly in the tank. It is actually pretty cool to look at when its on. I have A 75 gallon tank, this is my first saltwater tank. I have a fish only w/ live rock and live sand. I was looking for a cheap skimmer that didnt require a sump, also I wanted to stear clear of the hang on skimmers. I heard plenty of bad reviews on hang on skimmers. So I found the berlin airlift and I am completely satisfied with it. It gets the job done for my application. Also wanted to thank you guys, this is the second Item I have orderd and both items were handled with care. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: great skimmer.Works great the only problem is that the skimmer goes inside the tank which leaves no room for the cover but does a great job. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Im using this skimmer in a couple of Nano Reef Tanks currently with suprisingly good results. Although my tanks are mostly coral and inverts only and see considerable frequent water changes I was amazed at the amount of gunk this skimmer was able to pull from the gin clear water! With out a doubt, along with the Prism and SeaClone this is probably one of the most bashed skimmers on the market. Due to the cheap cost I decided to pick one up and test it out to see if everything I herd was true. Its not the most effcient skimmer on the market but it does indeed work. If you have a small tank or an AIO tank and need a small simple compact skimmer then this one rates some consideration. Its low cost and well constructed componets makes it easy to assemble in seconds. It does its best work if its hooked up to a air pump with a good bit of air production. I used a Whisper air pump rated for a 40 gallon tank. It will work better right off the bat if the air stone is soaked in water for a couple of days. I have found that if its set about 1/4 deeper than the water line mark on the skimmer that it works much better as well. Its an internal skimmer, so if you have a standard glas box type tank the skimmer can be hidden from view so as not to distract from the display using the "Living Frame" technique. Again if your on a budget, have a small tank and need a compact skimmer, dont over look this one without checking it out. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
