Red Sea is please to announce the addition of an innovative new salt formula designed to meet the needs of today`s advanced hobbyist. Coral Pro Salt has been specifically formulated for use with "mineral free" Reverse Osmosis, or soft tap water and contains the elevated levels of calcium and buffer capacity that provide the extended availability of these elements, essential for vibrant coral growth. Utilizing the same natural sea minerals used in Red Sea Salt the new Coral Pro Salt will enable all reverse osmosis users and reef enthusiast a superior product with out the need for immediate supplementation.

  • Reaches a stable, natural pH shortly after mixing

  • Produced by a small batch process to ensure homogeneity and consistency of the salt mixture
Corals, calcareous algae and other invertebrates use large amounts of Calcium for the building of their skeletons or shells. The Calcium level in natural seawater at 35ppt is approximately 400 ppm.

The Coral Pro formula provides elevated levels of calcium at the "lower than natural" salinities preferred in reef aquariums. Table shows Calcium levels of Coral Pro mixed in RO water at 24°C 75°F and salinity.

Comments: I'm working with a 50 gl. tank and for months I was hauling two 5gl. containers of premixed water home. Well I got the ro/di and a drum of Red Sea coral pro and within two weeks have seen an improvement in my fish and corals. I tried dosing cal. and mag. with mixed results prior to Red Sea coral pro now this salt mix takes care of that for me. I am seeing nothing but good results in my tank.

Comments: I've always used instant ocean reef crystals. But wasn't happy with the cloudiness of the water when I mixed it. Also I wanted higher levels of CA and mag for my spa. This is excellent. I really like it so far.

Comments: I've used this salt for a while and have been very happy with it. The salt mixes quickly and readily and leaves little to no residue in my mixing container. I use a scale to weigh out the salt according to the directions on the bucket and the S.G. Is usually spot on. This salt provides good levels of the elements necessary to keep my corals happy with weekly or biweekly water changes.

Comments: Mixes to exact specifications regardless of quantity size. may be paying a bit more of front, but I use less salt for each water change so it works out in the end. Follow mixing instructions to the letter.

Comments: I used Instant Ocean when I first started, worked fine until I got corals. Switched over to Red Sea Coral Pro because it is natural evaporated seawater. I tried Seachem at some point just to see if it was the same because it was cheaper, it was not. Long story short, this is the BEST salt I've ever used and the price is always right.

Comments: I have used Red Sea Salt from day one since i started the hobby. (little over 2 years now) The Salt mixes easy and the water is pretty clear fairly quick. i have friends that use other brands and it seems as if the salt doesn't dissolve as much even after sitting for 24 hours with a pump. Any how great stuff!!
