A little sensitive to disturbances though. Even though it says to place 6" below water line it seems to work great in my 2.5 Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends. They do work, but, I think if you're just needing to check your salinity during water changes then the need to keep it in your tank isn't necessary. It's a good thought, but...if you're like me and keep your water level topped off then you need not worry about your tanks salinity dropping too much. I would not recommend this product to my friends.
