Comments: Works with no problems for me. I still don't get how they are so expensive, but they all are about this price. Suction cups are always risky, but cleaned and not toyed with all the time, they stay on. An earlier person was complaining about a snail messed up the float switch, but a snail will mess up any float switch, and it is not a problem with this type of switch. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I got this float switch to create an automatic top off with a tom aqualifter and my reefkeeper light before a two week trip. The switch worked perfectly with two exceptions. The first is that a snail stuck to it and stopped the ATO from turning off once, thus flooding my tank. I used a pill bottle with a couple small holes poked in it to create a snailproofer for it. The second major problem happened at five in the morning, about four months after I had installed it. The switch broke and flooded my tank. I was asleep at the time, but fortunately had wired in a flood detector, so it only added a few cups too much fresh water. I wouldn't buy another one of these or recommend it to a friend. If you do get one, you can install it upside down or right side up. I recommend that you install it upside down so that if it gets broken, it'll be broken in the off position. I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I bought this specific float switch for DIY automatic top off, mostly because of the bracket with suction cups that it comes with. It works like a charm so far and lets hope those suction cups wont wear out too soon. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
