Works Great

I have been administering Kick Ich since August 19th. All of the signs of ich are finally gone. Another week and I should be done administering it. I have had no loss to any of my inverts and have not lost any fish. This is what I did. I followed the instructions on amount to administer, but what I did was re-dose every third day. On the third day, I would turn the skimmer on in the morning and let it run all day, then turn it off and dose at night. I continued with weekly water changes of 20%. I chose not to try and pull the fish out because it would have required me to tear apart the aquascape. Trust me, I tried to get them, but it was not going to happen. Here's the point that I would like to make, I could have easily bought quarantine tank for what I've spent on this stuff. I have bought $150.00 worth. Get a quarantine tank, but I would keep a bottle of this stuff on hand just in case because it worked very well.

Battle for survival

OOPS didn’t quarantine ph too low added new equipment now your fish are stressed. Ich pops up …. Now what Ok let’s look @ ph water parameters and see if we have a problem. Now lets go to War I like to start with a 50% water Change suck as many Theronts out as we hope we can. Feed the Fish the best foods you can. Tanks I feed seaweed from asian market, Freesh as possible. I like to bump up the temperature to as high as I can cringe to. This will speed up the life cycle. Yes you may kill of a few snails. Look we will only do it for as week. I set it for 79. Ok here is where I use the ruby reef kick ich. I double the dose and add 3 ounces per day because I don’t turn of skimmer. Make sure to turn off UV, Ozone and remove Carbon filters. Usually within 5 days I will see a huge improvement in the fish. After I see the last visible sign of ich on a fish I continue for 2 weeks so usually it is a 3 week to 4 week dose. Ruby reef kick ich does not kill ich it stops them from being able to attach to the fish. They starve to death. So if you leave some alive they will come back. Now you may ask why do I have this regiment and experience with ich. I am a gluten for punishment and have many saltwater tanks up and running. For my fish only tanks I do hypo salinity treatments and it works well. But for the reef tanks I have. Not feasible to rip them apart. Constructer goby to 6 line wrasse, just not gonna be easy. I hope you find this helpful. I always keep some on hand and remember to keep out of light it will keep for a long time. Store in a dark and cool spot

Well proven and researched

This company is one of the very best on customer service. Sent them an e-mail late Saturday. Confused the label on the bottle said nothing about turning off the U/V if you had one. But on their site they say to turn it off? Well Don replied very late and about 4 replies back and fourth until 7:30pm he answered all. His devotion to their products and reef keeping was very apparent and could not of been luckier to talk with him. Their the real deal. A+++

Used to work great.

I've used this a good many times over the years and it has worked great each time... until now. I had a large saltwater tank with a case of ich/whitesopt and the 7 fish actually got much WORSE in the middle of the 13 day treatment. All of them died before the end of the treatment. I don't know if I will try it again or not.

Great Kills ich

Ive only used this product for three days but i have to say it works. No affect on coral and its reef safe. Loved it. Its better if you QT your fish and leave tank fallow for a month because if not, then the icy would just come back. its a parasite. or QT for a week, then return to the DT (display tank) while still treating the display.

seems to work

After giving my flame angel a freshwater bath, the ick came back after 2 weeks. So, I decided to try Kick-Ich this time. At day 7 of the treatment, all the ick disappeared from my flame angel. He had about 6 or 7 spots on him. I ran my protein skimmer for 2 hours before each dosing (just to clean the water a bit, so as to not stress the fish further). At day 15, I did a 20% water change, cleaned everything from the sump to the tank and turned the skimmer back on. None of my inverts or fish were harmed. I would definitely use this again.
