Unsatisfactory

Comments: What a waste of money!!! I was recently using an API Nitrate test kit and it always came up at 0 ppm. I decided to try the Salifert kits because of it positive reviews and also to test the accuracy of the API test kit. The day before the test I did a 15% water change just to replenish some trace elements. The very next day I received the Salifert Nitrate test kit found it very simple to use. But when tested my water it read at 100 ppm nitrate. IMPOSSIBLE!!! I am currently running a very large AquaC skimmer with 2 chemical reactors (1 with carbon and the other with RowaPhos). I am also running a UV sterilizer and a refugium with caulerpa. I think the best test is that all my corals are flourishing and growing. I'm going to take a sample to my LFS and have them test it for me. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: This SALIFERT NITRATE TEST KIT is the best, before I used test kit API its was bad and make me crazy no matter what i did my nitrate alway 60ppm, then I call MARINE DEPOT talk to GORGE he's sale-man, he recommend me to use SALIFERT TEST KIT, I got 1 (one) from him then I test my water NITRATE in my tank only 20ppm instead 60ppm. YES I REALY REALY RECOMMEND THIS TEST KIT TO ANY ONE HAVE HOBBY IN SALY WATER AQUARIUM. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: This kit, just lke the other salifert test kits I have used is simple to use and inexpensive to purchase. I am only using salifert test kits now. I recommend them. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: It's a shame that these test kits are becoming so hard to obtain---I tried this one because others that I have used are so difficult to read, esp. in the lower ranges. This kit is very easy and appears to be super accurate-also goes for Calcium and alkalinity kits. I am now replacing all test kits with Salifert when possible. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: the dual-reading works great. turn on it's side to read all the way down to 0.25 ppm. great for low nutrient systems like zeovit and reef fresh. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Not a bad test kit. But for the price, I was expecting a little more accurate results. The problem is its like the cheap tests, test the water and match it up against a chart with different shades of color. Problem being, the charts colors are so close you could be at .5 or .25 (for example) and not really now. Better than most though. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

decent by the fish guy

Comments: Test high range to low range nitrate. The kit is good! However, color matching charts are always a pain in the butt. Kinda have to guess. Thats the only drawback of these kind of kits. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: The nitrate test kit is very accurate though it still is a pain to look at the colored strip on something that should be checked so often in the reef aquarium but there is no better way at this time. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
