Seachem

The SeaChem HydroTote™ is a collapsible jug that holds up to 20 L (5 gallons). It`s perfect for customers that get their saltwater, RO water, or DI water at their local fish store. When not in use, it easily folds up to take up less space. It pours easily and can withstand a drop of up to 3 meters while full.

HydroTote™ is the ideal space-saving alternative for 5 gallon hard jugs that simply consume too much space.

Light and easy to use

I've been using two of these over a year. I have no major issues about pouring water in and out of them. It is light weight and easy to carry 2 of them at the same time even when they are full. You just have to open it carefully when it is full not to spill. I use the handle on the top and the red rubbery loop on the bottom to lift it up and pour the water to a beaker first so that is not really an issue.

Great product!

I purchased two of these before I read the reviews once I read them I was doubting the Orchard. One I received them and used them I love them, I use one for RO water and one for saltwater. If I'm gonna mix saltwater i just pour the RO water into a 5 gallon bucket and mix it there or if i purchase premixed saltwater I just siphon the water into my refugium but the jug does have a handle at the bottom if you want to easily pour it in. These are great if your limited on space I have a small closet in my living room next to my aquarium so I store both of these jugs in a 5 gallon bucket when not in use. Great space saver.

Wrong application

The five star review that says this is easy to pour must be the manufacturer. If it is only 3/4 full you could pick it up without water shooting out. More then that be really careful when you remove the cap. As was said earlier the opening is too small. Hard to fill, and forget dropping a hydro nano in there to mix salt water. As far as a drop. Yeah maybe a 3 meter drop onto carpet. Anything like asphalt would puncture it. I have seen these before for camping. That is where they should stay. If a solid jug costs 10$ to 15$ these should be 5$. Then it would be worth having around.

Details overlooked

This would be perfect for camping but for our uses, Seachem really overlooked some key features. The bottle opening is REALLY small. This is advertised for anyone who gets water from their LFS.. What fish store uses anything smaller than 1/2" tubing/PVC? I had to use a funnel and it took several minutes to fill one bottle. Hose barb is needed to fill this bottle correctly. Next, unlike on many bottles, there's no indication on how much water is in the jug. Sometimes I only need a gallon or two. With this jug its impossible to tell how much water you're carrying. Bought 3 and I'll be returning the 2 unopened.. I don't recommend this jug.

Seachem Hydro Tote

I love this product. It is a space saver. It is easy to pour the water too. There is a place to grip at the bottom of the tote that makes it easy to lift and pour the water.
