Seachem Stability 2 L

Stability™ will rapidly and safely establish the aquarium biofilter in freshwater and marine systems, thereby preventing the #1 cause of fish death: "new tank syndrome". Stability™ is formulated specifically for the aquarium and contains a synergistic blend of aerobic, anaerobic, and facultative bacteria which facilitate the breakdown of waste organics, ammonia, nitrite and nitrate. Unlike competing products, the bacteria employed by Stability™ are non-sulfur fixing and will not produce toxic hydrogen sulfide. Stability™ is completely harmless to all aquatic organisms as well as aquatic plants, thus there is no danger of over use. Stability™ is the culmination of nearly a decade of research and development and represents the current state of the art in natural biological management.

The bacteria used in competing products are inherently unstable. The conditions necessary for their growth and development fall into a very narrow range of temperatures, pH, organic loads, etc. When any of these parameters are not strictly within the proper range, the bacterial culture quickly crashes and dies. Stability™ does not contain any of the aforementioned bacteria.

The bacteria strains in Stability™ have been in development for over a decade. The necessary conditions for growth of our bacterial strains encompass a very broad range. When other bacteria begin to die off (usually from high organic loads caused by the undetected death of an organism), Stability™ simply works harder and grows faster! The strains function in fresh or saltwater. Stability™ contains both nitrifying and denitrifying bacteria, a blend found in no other product. Additionally, Stability™ contains facultative bacterial strains which are able to adapt to either aerobic or anaerobic conditions. The bacteria in Stability™ are non-sulfur fixing, another innovation in the industry. Most other bacterial supplements will form toxic hydrogen sulfide under the proper conditions. Stability™ will not, ever.

Seachem Stability

I've been using this product for a long time and love it. I bought the 4L because it lasts longer than the smaller bottles. It helps you add fish to a new start up or if you move to another house such as I just did last month. It works!

Use with care. Split your dose into 4. If you're new to it do your homework. Very effective.

Amazing Product

This product is the reason the Ammonia and Nitrites did not kill my fish when using the tank transfer method to rid them of cryptocaryon. The test tanks had no biofilter and the ammonia would have overtaken them without this wonderful product.

DoNot Hesitate and BUY!!!!!!!

I have been fortunate enough to have been around aquariums my entire life and Seachem Stability IS THE BEST way to start up a fish tank whether you are doing a outdoor pond to a 10 gallon guppy aquarium. It will eliminate the need for being patient and adding your prized fish. Do the fish and yourself a favor and buy as much as you can afford. Of course use moderation and follow the direction to a T :) ( I am )

SEEMS to be working?

Hello all. Yes, I have actually been using Seachem Stability (S.S.) for over a month as of 6/2/10, faithfully 40(+) ml/day - applied after each water change (every-other-day) & the days in-between. I follow the instructions strictly & turn the UV/ozone off for at least 15 minutes to allow the bacteria to come out of dormancy (as a post on the Seachem site indicated, it only takes several minutes), but I'm learning I should be keeping the UV/ozone off for 24 hours...?!?? This messes up the photoperiod, though...I have been told by a few reliable resources that the Bacteria Cycle takes approximately 6-8 weeks naturally (4 if lucky), & You would think having faithfully used S.S. for over a month, it'd be just about complete by now...but my ammonia (NH3) still ranks in at ~1-3--yes, it fluctuates due to a fluctuating fish population--and my nitrites (NO2) have been 0 (ZERO) since I set this aquarium up on April 12 - tested at my Local Fish Store, Petco, & my own Sera dropper test kit.And a note to the fluctuating fish population: it's actually a fully aquatic snake I have, an Acrochordus granulatus ("Banded Elephant Trunk Snake," or "Little Filesnake"), though it does NOT breathe the water. Thus, fish are up & down, via consumption & otherwise. And I believe this may be responsible for the fluctuating NH3.Again, I have been performing water changes every-other-day, & near-100% (!!) with R.O. water, so "Flaps" (the snake's name of course) couldn't have anymore pure water than this, & refreshed so frequently! The webmaster of the afrementioned website swears by S.S., & it seems to be fairly reputable around the net, so I'm going to have to presume it's the fluctuating fish populating that's causing even SEACHEM STABILIY to NOT expedite the Bacteria Cycle to completion. :/ Thus, I'll ALWAYS keep S.S. on hand, as I think it keeps SOME lid on the NH3...
