Seachem

I have been using seachem products for years. Use the products as directed for the right application with a little common sense. Results will be rewarding. Paraguard has been effective for me many times over.

Ich Sucks

My Coral Beauty and Yellow Clown Goby had obvious ich. I separated them and used this product as directed. Ich went away and I returned them to the display tank. Product worked.

best med.

I have been using Paragaurd solely for years now and have found it to consistently eradicate fungal and ich infections even in the worst cases with absolutely no detrimental effects to the aquarium. I have tried several other remedies over the years but have not found any others that are as effective with no side effects.

Wouldn't buy a fish without it

I think this product is a must have when getting new fish or when your fish show signs if something. I had two tangs that had some sort if parasite that had previously killed 4ithers before I could get this in the mail, but after only one treatment I could see signs if improvement and I'm happy to report all fish are doing well

Decent Product

I normally use this in a QT tank with good results. I recently tried it in my display tank at half dose. Corals don't like this product. The reaction in my LPS was immediate. Fortunately I just turned on my skimmer and carbon filter and everything went back to normal. Overall good product just don't use it with corals.

Paraguard

Unfortunately, this product did not work for me with my severe ich problem. I ended up quaranteeing the remaining live fish. During that time I switched to the Coppertine product, the ich seems to have gone away.

safer malachite but

Was unable to hold the line and after talking with Seachem moved onto Cuprimine which with garlic is working on the ich. On a smaller tank fish only this would probably be fine. My 200+ was too much and required a lot of this if it was going to work. But for anyone who would use mamachite green this is a was safer approach and a polymer coating for the fish is quite unique and adds a layer of saftey for them.

Seachem ParaGuard

Seem like a broad medication that can treat lots of ailments, but the only thing I've encoutered in my SW tank is ich and flukes. Using it didn't seem to help in getting rid of ich (compared to using Cupramine) or fluke (compared to Prazi-Pro). Maybe I just didn't use it long enough, but my verdict for this product is still to be determine.

Wonder Product

SeaChem handled in 4 days what no other over-the-counter remedy did in months!!! Even the fish that looked to be on their death beds recovered!!! I loved it before and love it even more now that I have seen what life is like without it. Every fish owner needs some ParaGuard on hand for any ailment that might threaten your fish!!!
