Unfortunately, this product did not work for me with my severe ich problem. I ended up quaranteeing the remaining live fish. During that time I switched to the Coppertine product, the ich seems to have gone away.

Was unable to hold the line and after talking with Seachem moved onto Cuprimine which with garlic is working on the ich.
On a smaller tank fish only this would probably be fine. My 200+ was too much and required a lot of this if it was going to work. But for anyone who would use mamachite green this is a was safer approach and a polymer coating for the fish is quite unique and adds a layer of saftey for them.

Seem like a broad medication that can treat lots of ailments, but the only thing I've encoutered in my SW tank is ich and flukes.
Using it didn't seem to help in getting rid of ich (compared to using Cupramine) or fluke (compared to Prazi-Pro). Maybe I just didn't use it long enough, but my verdict for this product is still to be determine.

SeaChem handled in 4 days what no other over-the-counter remedy did in months!!! Even the fish that looked to be on their death beds recovered!!! I loved it before and love it even more now that I have seen what life is like without it. Every fish owner needs some ParaGuard on hand for any ailment that might threaten your fish!!!

I used this in my QT for my clown fish and a sick Coral Beauty. The Clown Fish were new purchases, I have learned from the past that my local fish store has a tendency to have Ich in their tanks. So I have decided to take proactive measures and treat my new purchases prior to adding them to my DT.
My Coral Beauty was purchased from the fish store and had Ich, I added him to the QT to treat him at the same time.
One of the Clowns developed fin rot and ICH, ParaGuard was added daily as prescribed for 21 days. I fed the fish daily and all of them came out of QT healed and fat.
No signs of stress, no colored water, the fish were visually better within the first 3-4 days. I kept them in QT for 3 weeks just to let any Ich die off in my tank.
You should feel confident using this product. It's worth every cent!

Very good product. Cleared up ich in my tang. Product is easy to use and well tollerated by fish. Also did not see any impact to biological filtration as I have seen with other products.

My porcupine puffer developed fin and tail rot. Two treatments of Maracyn and one of tetracycline did nothing for my puffer, but leave my tank with an ugly yellow tinge. Within two days of using Para Guard, puffer was swimming freely, eating heartily, and on his way back to health. I fave A FOWLR tank with a large hermit crab and saw not one bit of stress on my other fish. In fact, my lunare wrasse which had been hiding for the last three weeks also came out and began swimming and eating more.

It works where cupramini doesn´t. Really saved my clownfishes breeding system from an unindentified disease. A must have.

I used it at 1/4 strength and the next day my fish with ich was almost cured and in two days was totally clear. Days later another fish got it and it's taking longer on him. Might depend on cycle.
