Great Salt Mix

I like this salt mix. It mixes quickly and has high Calcium levels. My corals really open up nicely after I do a mix with it - more so than other salt mixes I have used. Good product in my opinion.

Confusing Alk

For those who don't know seachem salts have high concentrations of Borate which adds to the alkalinity but is not measurable in standard Carbonate alkalinity tests. A total alkalinity test is hard to come by, and for making the whole process of balancing the aquarium, I give this product 3*. It's a good salt, but relies on a hard to find test kit or guess work.

Seachem reef salt

Easy to mix with quick dissolve rate. SPS polyp extension after one week has increased Calcium boosts and Magnesium increases. Will buy again!

First and last batch for me...

Mixed at 35ppt calc was 540ppm with alk at 2.5meq. Don't understand that balance. Going back to reef crystals with much better balance. RC's mixed at 35ppt I got 440ppm and 4meq. Much better balance to work with.

great!

i usually get this from my local fish store and have been using it for a while now with great results! my local fish store is selling reef crystals super cheap just to get rid of the crappy salt. lacks magnesium and reef crystals was highly frowned on by them. seachem is the best best! fish seem to be less stressed when i use seachem also
