Another excellent test kit by SeaChem. A little completed at first. More complicated than Salifert's (SR) test Kit, but also more accurate. If I recall, Salifert has a +/- 5ppm error, whereas SeaChem as a .5 +/-, a big difference. I would recommend reading through the instructions several times and even, silly as it might sound, several "dry" runs to get familiar with the procedures.

This test set is very accurate and very complex. The instructions can be somewhat confusing and complex. I actually thought I was back in chemistry class! Aside from the complexity of the instructions, the tests are extremely accurate. Besure to wear protective gear when performing the test as instructed in the instructions. I would reccommend this test to my friends.

If you want to become a chemist this kit is for you!
There are a bunch of steps and it takes awhile to get the hang of it. The directions can be misleading, especially when it tells you to dump your sample that you spent so much time to prepare, but yes, you do dump it. It took me an hour or so to get through the directions and complete the first test.
Test claims 10mins to test, more like 20.
Requires DI/distilled water.
Includes a test vial of a 13ppm sample which is extremely helpful in making sure you did the test correctly.
I would say that due to the "soft" color change this test is accurate to within about 2-5ppm.
Overall, the kit is worth knowing that your elements are in line.

This kit is very frustrating to use and difficult to follow. I tried several times to test my reef tank but the results kept coming up negative for Strontium (blue color). Since this didn't make sense, I used the Strontium sample provided with the kit and ran the test again. The colors came had an only barely noticeable purple tint to indicate some Strontium. During the titration, since the color was so slight, it was nearly impossible to tell when you reached your endpoint to any degree of accuracy. I found this test to be worthless.

but after doing the test a few times, it's easy and straight forward. Comes with Sr calibration sample, a plus! Requires DI water.
