Comments: Purigen is working great for me after I placed it in my tank two weeks ago. I was having some problems with the quality of my water, it was some kind of milky effect and I did try many things but after a while the water will go back to a milky effect and all my parameters were ok. After 24 hrs of having put this product in my tank, everything looks like floating in the air...... you can't tell that there is water inside the tank unless you see some micro bubbles. I’m using this in a RSM130d tank with a mediabasket together with chemi pure Elite which I had use in the pass. Please, save your money and get this product instead of trying and spending money with other brands. I will have Purigen in my tank from now on. It is working for me. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: My Biocube 29 salt water reef has never been w/out this product. Every month I change it out for a new one. My reef tank runs flawless and it works great when combined with Chemi-Pure Elite. Again, this is a must have for reef tanks and acts as a great filter product!! Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Works great! Nitrates are Phosphates are Zero and I can tell everything is working as the granules are turning brown, Great as an insurance product but would not wholly rely on this as it does so well of a job that it might mask other problems. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I use this in addition to matrix carbon. It definitely increases water quality. Use it only in the bags they suggest with small holes. You will see a difference and this stuff is not too expensive. I use the carbon in a TLF chamber and put this stuff in my sump in the bag. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I really didn't expect this to work THAT well. I thought it would take a week or so before I saw serious results. My nitrates were through the roof. Off the scale even on the high range test. Water changes weren't helping at all. Last night I got my Purigen and put it in my filter. I also did a 50% water change to help it work because I wasn't expecting miracles. This morning I ran another test and my nitrates have plummeted so low they're barely detectable. I retested because I didn't believe the first results. I thought maybe I did something wrong but no, the nitrates are gone. :) Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Seachem Purigen is nothing short of a miracle! I had a heavily tannin stained aquarium because of the new driftwood I placed in it and I had read that Purigen was the way to go. I figured it would take a good week or two to clear the water. But would you believe in less than 12 hours my water looked crystal clear! I was truly amazed that this product could do such a wonderful job and not mess with my water chemistry as well! I would recommend this product to everyone! Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: A little soon for a review but unlike the other polymer "poly pad" that pretty much stopped the skimmer for a few days. This is not like that and it is capable of regeneration(poly pad is not) with bleach and a de-chlor product. It is great for checking on what is in the tank and microscopic removal that only these type of solutions provide. Very important to do. I put it in the sump not the overflow as to really look for fine and not clog up what the bag can get and the skimmer first. Don't use charcoal at all only a bag, skimmer, u/v. Would recommend......... Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I only use Seachem products for my aquariums, and am never disappointed. I have had problems with high nitrite, nitrate, and ammonia in my 100 gallon exotic goldfish, and 20 gallon Tiger Barb aquariums (the latter after having to medicate with antibiotics which destroyed the beneficial bacteria too - a hospital tank is NOT a luxury!). I was skeptical about Purigen filter media at first since it claimed to work immediately and do "the impossible" (i.e., filter 500xs better than activated carbon, eliminates nitrite, nitrate, and ammonia, make water go from cloudy to crystal clear almost immediately), but after placing a pouch in my canister (100 gal) and HOB (Hang-On-Back) filtration systems, I'm a believer! This stuff is INCREDIBLE. There is absolutely nothing like it anywhere. I had purchased my first two Purigen packets from another online retailer and watched my readings plummet to zero - but ONLY in my 20 gallon. However, I since only using one Purigen pouch in my 100 gallon goldfish aquarium it was apparently insufficient for a goldfish bio-load. There were still moderate readings. I decided to get more Purigen to double the use and for back-up and Petstore.com made it possible with their reasonable prices (lowest I've seen) and quick delivery. I was absolutely STUNNED how quickly the nitrates, nitrite, and ammonia readings in my goldfish aquarium fell to ZERO and the water (that had been looking greenish since a month no matter how many water changes I did) was clearing within an hour after a 25% water change and the extra pouch added. It was crystal clear within ONE DAY (24 hrs)! Budget-wise, I was lucky to find Petstore.com because they have the lowest prices for Purigen and had them in-stock so I was able to get four more (for now, I have enough Purigen for use and for back-up). Handy thing about this product is, it's reusable! You can regenerate and reuse the pouches when its used up (turns brown). The clear directions included make it easy. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: i cant even put this tuff in my reactor. It's 10 times as fine as the phosban particle size and crazy expensive. The only way you could use this would be to have prohibitvely fine pads taht would clog in a day. I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I agree with all of the other good stuff written about this product. It does what it says it does and the 100mL pouch is great for running in canisters, sumps or HOB filters. However, the most value to me is it's rechargeable and turns colors when it's used up. You never have to guess if it's all "used" up or not. I followed the directions for re-use and the 4 pouches that I have rotate in and out of use. I had a hard time wrapping my mind around soaking something in bleach and then putting it in my system no matter how long it soaked in Prime. But it works just like it says it does and I've had no problems at all. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: The product is very fine and will flow through most media bags (and then gets in your tank and sump). Seachem should either sell with or recommend the specific media bag to be used to prevent this from happening. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: This is great stuff for helping controlling nitrates, ammonia and other organics. It lasts a long time and is easy to regenerate. If you are having problems with proteins, ammonia and/or nitrates this stuff will help. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I heard about the good things about this product from plantedtank forum and I think I should give it a try. After adding it to my sump for around a week, I do notice the difference not only by the darken color of Purigen but also the test results of my water. It's the best product to remove unwanted polluted from water. In my opinion, I don't need active carbon totally if I put it into my sump. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I placed the Purigen in my tank a few days ago and have already noticed a marked increase in the clarity of the water. The product suggested use is 2-5 months. It's easy to know when you need to change it or recharge it as it turns from white to brown. My tank levels are all good. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Say's 100ml treats 100 gal. I put 125 ml in my 125 gal tank and it DID NOT drop nitrates after a week. I then used all, 250ml and it still DID NOT lower nitrates after another week. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
