50/50

Have not had this pump running long, hard to give a fair rating. I did however do a test with the Sicce (357 GPH) VS Mag drive 3 (350 GPH ) on a bio pellet reactor and found that the Mag drive did produce more water flow even with the lower GPH rating. What I do like about the Sicce is the somewhat small overall size of the pump compared to the Mag drive. With this all being said wish I would have ordered the Sicce 2.0 and not the 1.5 I would say with my test the Sicce GPH ratings might be a little over rated.

Little Engine!

Just got this pump for my nano sump return pump. Very nice and compact, runs quietly, and had no problem what so ever dealing with a 4" head with a robust flow rate. Don't hesitate to try this pump.

I really like this little work horse of a pump. Have a 100 g SW/Reef tank with below cabinet sump where the new pump is located. Previous "Supreme 9.5" pump was ok but too powerful for my multiplying corals. Tried a ball valve and within 6 weeks pump seized up. Tried a Supreme MD7 and sounded like I had a hamster wheel in my sump. NOT. Unlike previous pumps the only sound is water flow. Smaller size is easier on installation. Will purchase another for back up soon.

Love it!

As advertised. It is so quiet and flexible with output. I have it running a V2 Bioreactor and a Phosban 550. It runs them both with ease.

Sicce Syncra Silent 1.0

I purchased this pump for my Reef Octopus reactor. I needed an external pump since I have no sump and did not want to take up space in my 110 gallon tank. I also did not want the motor to heat the water. It appeared to be very quiet and had sufficient flow rate. Unfortunately the wall of the barb fittings for the tubing is very thin. When using a hose clamp to add security to the connection the barbs crushed and leaked. If you don't use a hose clamp or tighten it very little you may be ok. I'm very careful about my connections since I have experienced leaks in the past. I repleased it with a Mag 7 which is working very well and has double the water output.

very quiet

Great pump, does exactly what it says. Just wanted to mention how quite it is, its pumping from my sump, and its the most silet part of the water movement.

Nice Product

So far works just like I expected. VERY quite pump, I haven't had it plugged in long enough to check for heat transfer but it seemed to keep nice and cool. I love the dial on the end to change the output force of the pump. One thing I don't like about it is the export fitting, I will be changing it to a threaded fitting. I still give this a 5 star because it is a 5 star product. I am just picky about my fittings and it will be a super easy change out. Also the pump is fairly small for its power and light weight!
