Great packaging. Everything bubble rapped for protection. Easy set up. Only issue was the Pressure gauge was not working. R.O. was .002 TDS. Recommend anyone who will use a Storage tank (ex. rubbermaid can, etc.) to purchase the float valve kit with auto shut off valve. Would've given 5 stars if gauge wasn't defective.

I got it and hooked everything but it was leaking. The black tube connected to the middle filter was broken (threaded elbow part). Had to take the first and second canister out by unscrewing the four screws. More evidence showed that it was dirty in the threaded part of the canister. I think it was returned and no one checked. Managed to get the part from home depot but wasted 2 hours. Will see if it last long enough to make water for my 50 gallon tank.

the water measures 0 ppm so it works great. Be sure to use it next a drain for a while as mine developed a small leak and flooded the garage. Other than that great product.

Spectrapure Maxpure RO/DI filter worked as advertised. Easy hookup to my garden hose makes it simple to make as much RO/DI water as needed for water changes. Make sure you also order a dissolved solids meter. You'll love it when you test a glass of tap water and get 190+ ppm compared to the 0-2 ppm you'll get from the filter. Algae problem is completely under control now that I am not pumping in unwanted nutrients from the tap every week. Also recommend the inexpensive backflow purge kit (just an extra tube and a valve). Helps flush the filter after each use.

Installed quite easily, the flow regulator takes a bit to figure out. I just used a measuring cup and a timer on my phone to figure it out. If you have a new tank or a big tank this unit will pay for itself in no time. First week on a new 125G, this thing has saved me countless trips to LFS already. As far as I am concerned, it has paid for itself already. Definitely buy the flush valve.
Would give 5 stars, but feel the flush valve should be standard. Also the flow regulator is a bit tricky, maybe just clearer instructions on it.

Overall very satisfied and believe it or not, noticed immediate improvement in my 220 gallon reef. Previously I was having a difficult time maintaining PH at the proper level. After ~3 weeks, I've done two 20% water changes with water produced by this unit. I've also used this water exclusively for my top off (about 3 gallons/day). My corals have expanded more than ever before, my water is very clear and I haven't had a single issue maintaining PH...meaning I have not had to add a PH supplement at all.
Set up was very easy and straight forward. There is an adjustment and I found I had to remove nearly all the inner catheter IAW instructions and still barley met the 4-6/1 waste water ratio. Wish the instructions provided information on this scenario as I'm concerned about too much pressure on the RO membrane.

This RO/DI unit does everything is says it will and this is my second SpectraPure product. My First RO unit lasted 8 years!!
Very easy setup and I like the hose adapter it comes with.
If you have a marine or freshwater tank (any size) this is a very nice unit to help you make sure the water is very pure. 90 gallons a day means you can fill up your 5 gallon water jugs quickly and move on to more important things in life.

this thing is CLEARLY very well made. it's as simple as hooking it up to a hose and turning on the water.. as a beginner it was a little time consuming and a bit frustrating to adjust the flow restrictor, but all in all it really is a phonominal product. once thats done you're good to go. i will say that even though it seems to be giving me close to the rated 40 gpd, it is much slower than i realized so i'd definitely suggest if you're as impatient as me to go one size up.
