Easy to use - plug fan into control receptacle, then plug cotrol into 120 volt power supply. Set thermostat to a temperature you want the fan to come on at and that`s it. Sunlight Fan controller by ERNIE HUMBERGER Experience Level: Intermediate Posted on 12/29/2008 from OREGON, OH UNITED STATES Comments: I am an Amateur Radio operator and have a good basic knowledge of wiring. This unit appears to be made in the U.S.A. and is made of high quality material heavy gauge metal and rated at 13 Amps@ 125 Volts. Good quality plug also. No internal circuitry to burn out, just a capillary expansion tube to operate the switch. It is rivoted closed to prevent tampering. I am using it as a fan controller, as we heat with wood and I have it connected to our ceiling fan in our balcony to bring the heat down, then it shuts off when the wood burner cools down. Great product, well worth the price. Otherwise the ceiling fan runs all night blowing cold air. It will pay for itself probably this season. The switch setting is very close toleranced. In other words, if you set it to 80 degrees, it turns on at 80 and off at 75. I've seen some switches with a 20 degree tolerance and it ends up running until ice is forming in your living room.
