Features: Runs two 250 watt mogul or HQI lamps. Excellent for use with our Maristar fixture. Features the exclusive Smart Volt™ feature. Operates on both 120 & 240 volt power. Simply unplug one cord and plug in the other. 6 foot 120 volt power cord included. Purchase 240 volt cord separately. Will run all mogul based and double ended metal halide lamps. Drives lamp to peak performance. Saves energy! Uses 5-12% less energy than magnetic H.I.D. (depending on lamp specification). Extremely efficient — 99.9% power factor. Soft starting — increases lamp life & reduces lumen depreciation. Anodized, extruded aluminum housing. Light weight – only 14.8 lbs. Silent operation. Constant wattage output — no lamp flickering. Short circuit protection. Rubber feet reduce noise and vibration. Bulbs were burning out every 3 to 5 month. I decided to change ballasts and see if it made a difference in bulb life. I had saved 3 of the 'burned out' bulbs. The Sunlight Supply Galaxy 250W Electronic Ballast started all 3 of the old bulbs that the old electronic ballasts would not begin to start,so I am very satisfied with the product and wish I hadn't disposed of any of the old bulbs.
