Comments: Pretty good build, plus I feel more confident now knowing that I've done my part to prevent backflow. Only thing is it must be horizontal, so I have it located on my return, hard plumbed, on top of my tank. Its already starting to get dirty in there, so I'm sure I'll have to clean it eventually. But, it does as it was made to do, so I'm happy! Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: This is a great product. I used it on my 150 gallon aquarium. After running a few power failure tests, it did its job and did not allow water to run back to the sump and cause a reverse siphon. The fact that it is clear allows you to see if any debris is caught in it. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Great product, it allowed me to aim my returns anywhere I want without worrying about backflow should I have a power outage. Previously I had to keep return water flow near the top to allow for a possible outages. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Not a very exciting piece of my salt water tank but def a necessity. It does just what its supposed to do, keeps the water from flowing backwards. I've only had it on the tank for a week now but another review mentioned it lasts about 2 years. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: It's great; good quality and doesn't obstruct flow. I have a 55gal sump/reservoir in my basement, and pump the water up through the floor to the tank with an Iwaki MD55RLT which is wall mounted vertically. I attached the check valve directly to the intake of the pump so that I can shut off the pump (or in the case of a rare power failure) and not lose the water in the pump. I don't have to prime the pump and it will never run dry. Plus, the clear casing allows me to instantly see the swing valve is up and I know the water is pumping. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: i am using this product on my saltwater system. it stops the water almost instantly when the pump is shut off. no water leaks around the seal. very minimal flow reduction. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: This is a good product although like anything else in a reef aquarium, maintenance is required. I just replaced one after two years where calcium build up impaired the operation of the swing valve. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I thought I would try this product as an alternative to an overflowing sump during power blackouts. It installed without difficultly and does not seem to hamper flow from my Iwaki pump. Comments: The clear pvc check valves are better than the white pvc only in that you can see if any debris has become logged in the flap. The down side to this is that light gets in also and allows algae to grow. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
