Great
so far so great!

Comments:
The 20F has a very small footprint and uses much less electricity than comparative GPH brands. It generates half the heat of my Ehiem 1262 and uses around half the electricity. I had one restart issue that was fixed by a ligh tap in the housing but ever since, it has been performing flawlessly. The power is awsome for such low wattage. The one re-start issue had me a bit concerned but so far so great!
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

the best pumps!

I have two of these as the main pumps for my tank. They are great and last a long long time. I think it is a good idea to always have two pumps. No matter which kind you have, they can break down and a back up ensures you tank will be fine if that happens. Imagine going out or on vacation and you come back to no pump and lots of dead stuff? Won't happen with two of these!
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Noisy

Comments:
Nice pump does what it says but way too noisy. I called the manufacture and had a detailed discussion. This is nice because it offers more pressure and is maid for sumps but the dray back is it is much noisier than the regular Rio power heads this is straight from the manufacture. This pump was so noisy I took it back to the dealer and thought it was defective. After running an other new pump in a bucket of water they were both noisy so... if noise is a factor do not …go with the Hyper Flow! If not, it is a decent good pump. * Advantage is low wattage and good water volume. * Disadvantage Noisy
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

HP pumps rock

Comments:
I've used this pump since they originally produced it. It is the main water return pump for my 100 gallon sump system. I just purchased a replacement for it because i had a power outage that ran it dry for a few days. They have awsome pressure and flow in the HP series i would reccomend it to anyone because submerged it is self priming, and this makes things more simple for a sump. I ran it for 6 years without cleaning or doing anything but pulling snail shells off the screen. I just purchased 2 because in another 6 years or so If the economy causes it to be unavailable anymore i will have a replacement of the perfect pump for my system. Rio makes some of the best powerheads around. I used to have an expensive mag drive external pump that was 2 times the price. This is a much better way to go.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

I have used several Rio Hyperflows in the past and they are always great! This one works well and has a good high-middle flow that is perfect for my sump. THey are decently compact with high flows.

This power head is extremely loud. And after one day of use the vortex power assembly broke. Now my tank is crippled because I dont have a pump strong enough to operate it I should have listend to the reviews about this product and not purchas it.
I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Ive been using this pump for just over a year now and just upgraded to quiet one pumps.... while i never had any problems with the function of it... it just sounds like a desil engine running in my sump.... so just spend a little more money and by something that has a better warranty and is a lot quieter then the rest.. Ie.. rainbow quiet one, Ehiem.....
I would not recommend this product to my friends.

I've been using this since 12/06 and love it. I notice after I shut it off the vacuum break sometimes causes too much backpressure for it to restart. I simply pull of the outlet piping and it's going again. I did clean it once it didn't restart with the above technique. I do have mine in my sump and then going to through my chiller then into the tank via a DIY eductor which has pretty awesome flow.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

This is an awesome pump with alot of flow....its actually too much flow for me and I think I will have to go with the 26hf. The pump is very quiet too, the only thing i hear is my water draining and the fan for my lights.

Great pump for the price. Love the fact that it can turn my reef tank over 5 time per hour at 4 feet lift and only draw 60watts. The only compliant is the low humming noise.

Bought this 60W to replace a 54W that did about 75% of this one's flow. Yes any pump sumberged that pumps this much will add heat to you tank (in my 50 heaters occasionaly operate in mild winter - Nor Cal). I do have a chiller for summertime. Slightly noisy at first but quieted down and now I hardly know it operates. Sump intake water sounds are noiser now. Strong suction cups helps to dampen vibrations. I have mine going through the chiller and up nearly 6 feet before back down into the tank ~12" deep. I estmate with the chiller, elbows, etc to be about 8-9 feet of head loss and it still puts out decent flow.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
