I got this pump for my return . I wanted more flow going through my sump/ it was way to strong.. And a bit noisy compare to my other rio pumps. I switch Back to the other pump it was just a bit to loud for me and with the other imperpeller if a fish happens to get suck on threw my return he doesn't get all beat up!!! Nice touch rio!!! I've have four clown gobies make it threw my returns without a scratch

I bought the Rio HF 26 and been using it for about 3 weeks now. I bought it to replace a broken Reef Tec 5000 pump. My old pump was really loud and I could hear it at night with my bedroom door closed. Other reviews say this one is loud, but it's pretty quiet to me. It's quieter than most bubbler air pumps IMO. It also pushes a lot of water. Overall, I'd defintely recommend it.

I am very impressed with my HF17. It is well built and has quality feel straight out of the box. I has a ceramic shaft, not titanium, though, but that is just fine. I don't notice it being any more noisy than any other pump I have, especially if you set it up with the included plates and suction cups. Mine runs cool to the touch as well. All around great deal considering its a fraction of the cost of pumps with similar ratings.

Certainly up to the task. Have a 155 gallon bow front tank and this pump has no problem keeping the tank clean and doesn't seem to lose much in the reach from the pump to the return. A little noisier than I expected based on my experience with other Rio pumps.

Received two Taam Rio 26 HF pumps in record time.....they were all they were advertised to be. Great flow, quiet, and perfect for my 250 gallon reef tank. I will highly recommend this product, and will purchase more in the future, for the price is great, and it is always a good idea to have at least one spare pump handy for backup in this enviorment. I am extreamly satisfied with both the product, and the service I received from Customer Service. Thank you...........TONY.

I have always used rio's because of their energy efficiency. Unless you can find an old Blueline 1100, you won't find anything close to this. 60w for 1290GPH! Make sure before starting this pump to take it apart and check the impeller, then before firing it up make sure it's not filled with air. I feel like most of these reviews about noise problems and failures are from novice users. I have used Rio's for a long time, in fact I have a Rio 3100+ thats been running 24/7/365 for 2.5 years now. Take care of them and they are champs!

needed a pump capable of pumping water upstairs from my basement so needed a head of at least 12ft and this pump more than has the power to reach up that far and still keep a great flow....bit pricy but built like a tank

I bought this pump to use as a return pump, submerged. It runs very warm and raised my tank by almost 4 degrees. It is also very loud. I'm now going to buy a new pump, a Mag drive which I should have done in the first place.

The 20F has a very small footprint and uses much less electricity than comparative GPH brands. It generates half the heat of my Ehiem 1262 and uses around half the electricity. I had one restart issue that was fixed by a ligh tap in the housing but ever since, it has been performing flawlessly. The power is awsome for such low wattage. The one re-start issue had me a bit concerned but so far so great!
