Comments: Like others mentioned, the "instructions" don't tell you how to put it together. When I read that in other reviews, I wasn't too worried because I customize a lot of my stuff so I'm used to messing with equipment. But I have to admit this wasn't that easy--even using the mediocre line drawings of the finished product. It is pretty flimsy, but it didn't cost that much. But most of all, I do not think it is very effective as a surface skimmer. If I had seen it "in person" before purchasing, I would not have bought it. I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I'm very pleased with this filter. Does a really good job of surface skimming, even on a larger than recommended tank. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I like this surface skimmer alot it does the job and the surface is crystal clear now! Its pulls so much gunk out the water that i have to change the floss in it every couple days bc turns brown! I love it! Only complain would be the mounting bracket...its hard to mount and if you dont keep your water level up and top off everyday, the water level will drop and pump will suck air and blow bubbles everywhere....once the unit runs dry it will get light and the whole unit will float up and dis mount of side of tank! Im going to try to rig something up to keep filter mounted in place even if water level drops below skimmer. Hope this helped! Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I would have gave 5 stars if it where not for the inane holder that comes with this unit. Be aware that if you have anything but a square tank that there is no way to hang this filter flush (maybe Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: It pulls the refelctive crap off the water surface for sure, the adjustable output..212gph(?) in such a small unit for small tanks is awesome. Iam very satisfied. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: It is compact and silent. My only complaint is the holding device. The directions dont say how to put it together. It is a pain to mount it when you dont have a ton of room to work with in your tank. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
