Very strong pink-purple cast. That's OK if you want it though. But kind of artificial looking. I'm thinking one would be good, to bring out some of the redder colors in the livestock, but mostly use crisp, real blue-white bulbs.

The AquaSun bulb looks pink next to my other bulbs and produces an overall pink color cast to the entire tank.
In this picture (http://pkeairnes.smugmug.com/Other/Misc/P1010341/792024018_8NWcC-L.jpg), from left to right, the bulbs are:
D-D Giesemann AquaBlue+ (looks white)
UVL AquaSun (looks pink)
UVL Super Actinic 420nm (looks blue)
D-D Giesemann AquaBlue+ (looks white)
The light assembly is a Current SunDial 30". The original assembly had two 10K and two Actinic, which produces a color of white with a hint of blue. The first thing my kids said when they saw the new lighting was "Why is the aquarium pink?" Not exactly what I was going for. The UVL AquaSun is not a 10K white and will need to be replaced.
You apparently need more than 1 Super Actinic to balance out the pink in the AquaSun.

Such a terrible color! Everything seems to Flourish Beautifully, however the color is a reddish color. If you arent concerned about the color, and only concerned in what it does its perfect.

These are some of the best bulbs that I have ever used!! I would recoment them to anyone who asks. My only hope is that they last longer than some of th bulbs that I have used in the past. Marine depot is a great sight with great customer service. I will definatly order from hem in the future

The light from the bulb is a very crisp bright white light. I use it along with 2 super actinics and an actinic white over my 30 gallon tank. I am running fish only right now but will be adding rock and going reef in the next few months. Driving the bulbs with an icecap 660 puts out a ton of light and these bulbs handle it well, but you must keep air flowing over the bulbs to cool them or they will burn up. Overall the bulbs are very good to supplement t5 actinics and add some brightness to your tank.

I was a little disappointed with the color. But with actinic supplementation it looks OK. I just ordered the 14k and hope to have better results, although overall i was a bit disappointed polyp extension is phenomenal compared to before!

Well, not exactly what I was expecting. It's not really a white light it lights up with a lavander color. However it does provide a good spectrum. So far I haven't had any problem with my corals adjust. I'm assuming the 12000k is the white light by this manufacturer. I also added Antinic + bulbs and those bulbs are great.

These lamps look great. Despite being 10k they still add color to my corals. If you're trying to balance out actinic or a strong 20K this is the lamp for you. Yes, recommended.
