Great

Comments: I have two of these heaters working my 240g. I specifically have them placed in the sump where they and their cords are not visible. I like the external temperature sensor which ensures that the heater is not directly affecting the sensor and prematurely turning off the heater elements. The 5th star is missing because the controller is too wide to place two of them side by side on a double outlet. Each controler practically takes up an full outlet on it's own. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I've used Won heaters exclusively in my 3 tanks for a few years. 1 50w, 1 100w, 1 150w. The 50w unit worked well until it stopped working one day, after about a year. Chalking it up to a fluke, I replaced it. The replacement worked well too, until just over a year later, it stopped working too... I think I'm going to switch to Marineland Stealth heaters next -- looking for another heater that doesn't light up the tank with an indicator light at night (tank's next to my bed). If you get one, watch it for failure! Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Heater in 55 gal freshwater tank for about a week now & no complaints. I especially like the detached sensor that allows for the reading to be taken from a different location in the tank that within the heater. Easy to read dial... All suction cups are strong and powerful. Absolutely no complaints. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Dont get fooled by the picture. There is a temperature probe that also goes into the tank that is attached to the controller, but is not shown in the picture. You will have two wires coming out of the tank. I based my purchase on the picture, which shows only one wire. I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: This heater is pretty much idiot proof, low profile, and a good price. The only thing I don't like or understand is the external temperatur pickup that has to be suction cupped right next to the heating unit. Just another wire hanging out of my tank that doesn't need to be there. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: My Won titanium heater worked fine on my dual temp controller for about 18 months. Then it overheated (even though it was on a temp controller!) and blew the fuse the tank was on. Fortunately someone was home to reset the breaker. The heater no longer works. Why risk your tank? I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I bought 3 of these heaters about 6 months ago. first one failed after 3 months and nearly boiled my fish; second one just stopped working after 4 months and the third had a shift in the thermostat sensitivity and started heating up the tank and now has quit working at all. don't buy this product. I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I've owned this heater for 6 months, came home today and the tank was 93. Everything was correctly set up. I turned it all the way down for 15 minutes and it just kept cooking. I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Not powerful enough for the winter months for my 125 tank, but great for warmer months keeping the water from going below 78 degrees when the lights are off. Love the dry dial adjustment. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Unit went bad in 13th month after purchase. Vendor would not take care of product, but did offer to sell me a replacement for $18 more than what I paid thru Marine Depot. I'll never by WON again!!! I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I purchased this heater 6 weeks ago, and its already quit on me. After 30 days you have to go back to the manufacturer to get it replaced. I called the number to get it replaced, its out of service!!! I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Only had the heater for two months before it broke and started to over heat (cook) my tank.. Contacted the manufacture with very negitive results..will never buy any of this companies products again. I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Possible Fire Hazard by Jeff

Comments: I too suffered a near disaster with this heater after one year. I came home to find the heater control had shorted out and ignited my cabinet. Fire caused damage to other electrical components also. I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Thermostat Probe Shorted by jangle

Comments: Like the heater design, but I have 3 the first quit, while under warr. they replaced, the other shorted out at the thermostat probe when found it had burned the probe to dust underwater. I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I used mine as a backup set at a slightly lower temp. then my main heater so it hardly ever turned on. The peace of junk still only lasted 6 months before it wouldn't even turn on. I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I bought one of these for my 50-gallon tankit overheated and boiled my $80 Pike Cichlids. This happned right after the 1-yr warranty expired. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Temperature dial was far from accurate which made precise temperature control a long and difficult process. Then after less than 1 year, the whole thing quit working. Buying a new heater today. I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: My heater "stuck on"... no matter what the heater was set to, or the temperature of the water, it keeps heating. It is also easy for the temp set dial to get bumped and changed. I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: It's ok, but the adaptor plug gets hot. I would sugguest buying the cheaper one (Hydor Theo Submersible) which I think is a much better heater and the plug isn't an adaptor which always takes space. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I had this heater for a little ove 21/2 months to come home and find my water at 92 degrees. This would have been saltwater soup but fourtunatley it was in my make up water. This faild in the on mode. I would not recommend this product to my friends.

WON heaters are defective by Ken

Comments: Bought a WON 250w heater back in December but never used it until now. Let it acclimate and then plugged it in. After less than a day it became stuck in the ON position. These should be recalled! I would not recommend this product to my friends.
