THE ACCLIMATOR is designed to allow the hobbyist to slowly change the store’s water to your tank’s water when you bring home a new critter or coral for your tank. The acclimation tank is siphon fed with a metered discharge tube so that the transfer of store water to tank water can be done as fast or slowly as desired reducing the chance of stress or shock to your new creature. The store water is drained into a bucket so that it never enters your tank. THE ACCLIMATOR can also be used as a quarantine tank for sick or pregnant fish.

Overpriced and poorly constructed. The one I received leaked at a seem. You would think the company would leak test these before shipping. Sent it back

This is a brilliant invention that every serious hobbyist should own. It does a great job slowly acclimating everything from fish to corals to shrimps and crabs (which really need slow acclimation). The only negative callout is that there should be a sticker on it that warns you to not lean or set i...Read More

This purchase was an expensive mistake. The plastic drain tube broke off the first time I used it and could not be repaired with Super Glue. “Expensive plastic box”
2.0

It's a big plastic box with some plastic tubing and a small valve. You could make your own for much cheaper. It works fine but isn't worth the price.
