Celebrating 10-years of Outstanding Service
Ken Wong had a vision in December of 1997 to create an online pet store that catered exclusively to the aquarium hobbyist. Ten years later, Ken’s vision has evolved into the internet’s flagship marine and reef aquarium destination. Marine Depot had humble beginnings, particularly in the early years. Ken wore many hats, including customer service rep, tech support & IT guy, accountant and order packer. In 1998, Marine Depot made its online debut and, in 1999, moved from Ken’s garage into a 1,000 square foot warehouse location. Today, Marine Depot occupies two warehouse locations with a combined square footage of 24,500 and ships approximately 98% of orders the same day they’re placed. As we continue to grow, we vow to remain dedicated to the marine hobbyist and emphasize quality information and customer service over low margins.
