With the Throughflow/Reverse Principle (3540) inflowing water rises through the gravel layer, raising dirt particles to flow into the filter intake.
The Suction Principle (3541) uses the floor bottom as large filter surface. Suitable for marine aquaria and unplanted breeding tanks.
Each undergravel filter plate measures 3 5/8" x 3 5/8" x 5/8" (L x W x H).
The Eheim under gravel filters are made using 3 5/8" square modules which can be arranged to suit your needs using from 4 to 24 modules. To give you an idea you could use for modules to make it 7.25" x 7.25". If you had a bigger tank you could make it 10.875" X 29" or 21.75" X 21.75". |
